I'm looking for a reliable supplier for black elastic bands... Hopefully at least these wheels will be visible in the arches - the old 18x7's didn't fill them out as much as I'd hoped:

How big is BIG?

So, sometimes people say to me: "Hey Rogue, I hear you've got some big ideas for the MR2 Roadster. But just how big are they?" And I say: "They're this big:" http://www.roguesystems.co.uk/images/racinghart/wheel.jpg So they say: "Sure, that's pretty but how big is it? I need...

ARDS @ Rockingham anyone?

Hi All, I'll be competing in the MR2 challenge this year (in a '95 mk2) so I need to take my ARDS test to get a race license. I'm planning to do this at Rockingham so I phoned them up today to get some dates. As of yet the calender isn't set but they suggested that the next available day would be ea...

Re: Engine fans - anyone interested?

Just FYI, we've as yet had absoloutely no problems with water ingress reported from any of the fan kits the we've sold, and that's with a slightly bigger fan (10" as opposed to 9"). Most electronics in the engine bay are at the very least "splash proof", and those that are most s...

Re: Enkei Racing Peaks Wheels

I've got a car with a set of Enkei split rims - not sure which type though. One is damaged (very) but all four centres are intact. I'll post up some pictures shortly and you can see if they're what you need.

Re: Rolling Road Dyno Day

I guess if your prepared to subsidise it I dont mind arranging it with Thor and maybe Banzai? I know how busy you are ;) I'll give you a shout next week when we're back at work. You're right that it is currently too expensive to run it at our premises, although we might give that a go one Sunday in...

Re: Rolling Road Dyno Day

I have spoken to Thor already - they will book out their dynapack to us for the day but its our responsibility to make the best use of it. Even with the best will in the world it will work out at about £50-60 per car due to the time it takes to put them on the dynapack. Hi Neil, I've made some info...

Re: Engine fans - anyone interested?

I tried mine on push and pull. Pulling air out works best. Airflow through the engine bay is something that people quite often get wrong, but through experimenting you've discovered the correct method. The MR2 is designed to pull air from under the car and out through the engine bay cover. This is ...

Re: thermostat broken - how easy to change and is it Mr T only ?

Hi Allan, There are plenty of generic thermostats available (even an uprated TRD one!), so it doesn't have to be a genuine Toyota part. The thermostat housing is only secured by two bolts, but one of these is extremely difficult to reach with the engine in the car! I'm not suggesting it's an engine ...

Christ on a bike!

We did consider a space frame, but it's a little out of our budget! Some nice looking engineering though.

Re: Mr2 Mk2 - Engines Front or Rear?

Sadly guys, it's Midship Runabout... When the MR2 mk2 was launched in Japan in 1989 it toured around the country on the back of a lorry with the words "Midship Express" painted down the sides. If I remember I'll post up the video from work tomorrow. I've also seen JDM brochures that refer ...

Re: funny box thing and huge cables under drivers seat????????

It's most likely the remote central locking control box. If you find you haven't got a key with buttons on then it's most likely not made it over from Japan. Look also for a button with a key symbol on it on the dashboard for confirmation. I've seen lots of these and given the generally ad-hoc natur...
