Re: MR2 Championship 2005

I'll be there - I've got a nice little '95 G-Ltd auto that we'll convert to a manual and kit out... Roll cage should be ordered from Japland by the end of the week so I just need to book the 'shop time to get the car ready. Passed my ARDS a couple of weeks ago and I've got all my gear now so I shoul...

Yes, with ease. The speedo signal is only mechanical up to the point that it reaches the speedo header in the instrument binnacle. After that it's electronic.

Rogue Systems are Moving!

Hi All, Just wanted to post a note up to let you know that we're moving premises. We grew out of existing unit almost as soon we moved into it, and those of you who've visited us in the past will know that we've certainly been packed in tight! Our new premises are about 5 miles away in nearby Kenilw...

Re: Type G front lip.....any clearence problems?

Here are some pictures of me using the type "G" front splitter to mow the grass at Anglesey - it had been fitted only a couple of weeks at the time and given the speed and bumpy off-road surface I expected it to be a goner! It survived without a scratch. I did find that it caught slightly ...

Re: The GT28 results...yipee...not! :(

Have you spoken to rogues? When i ordered my kit they said that there wasn't a problem with the kits. Surely they wouldn't tell porkies??? No, we don't tell porkies! ;) I was actually with Mike at Thor when they dyno tested his car so I'm at the sharp end of this issue. We'll be investigating more ...

Re: 158bhp to 173bhp

A rev 1 NA is 1/2 a second quicker to 60 than the rev3 on NA, cos of the extra torque the T-VIS gives. IIRC, Toyota's quoted figures only show a difference of 0.1 seconds between revisions, although I beleive you are correct that it favours the early cars... Revision 1 in particular since these don...

specifically the late rev5 (ie the cosmos blue). I was told by a chap in the know at MR2004 last year that they didn't (no names but he has written all sorts on Mr2's in the MR2DC handbook. Yes, there some revision5 t-bar turbos (I tried to import one some years back in cosmos blue with practically...

Re: Whose car in rogue systems?

Hi All, Yes, the car on the lift at the moment is getting some fairly extensive mods, and no it's not being prepped for the Santa Pod event at the weekend... Actually, the owner has been quite public about what he's fitting to his car and the fact that it's been booked in with us for the work. A qui...

Thor Racing can adapt the wiring to run a Power FC on a rev 1/2 car, as well as supplying the neccessary sensors to remove the AFM. I understand they'll have a plug-and-play adapter loom available shortly!

Re: odbII compliant

is the 95 turbo kitted for this or is it just a pipe dream of mine again The only mk2 MR2 to have even a hint of OBDII was the revision 5 BEAMS VVTi normally aspirated Japanese model. Even so, this seemed to be a half hearted implementation that only coverred some of the systems (ABS at least) but ...

Re: Converting auto to manual?

We've converted a rev1 G-ltd automatic to a rev2 manual turbo, so it can definitely be done. There are a few extra parts to source (although since we use complete cars as donors we have them all to hand) and some extra labour involved in fitting them. Depending on how complete a conversion you want ...

Re: Rev3 Conversion 6000rpm Rev Limit

You definitely have the correct igniter for the engine - if you can post the part number I'll confirm. That said, the igniter would have been my first point of call for this particular fault... An early igniter has a slightly different plug so wouldn't fit without modification. Does the rev limiter ...

Re: Does my ass look big in this?

Looks absoloutely superb. I have a question about the exhaust though - which one is it? You say it's a turbo exhaust but it looks like the Magnex exhaust for the mk2 n/a? ...and I for one would definitely like to see the wheels remained unpainted. The burnt-out from the centre look could genuinely b...
