I've got a few shims spare from my engine rebuild too.....and a couple of bolts for that matter...
Only trouble with giving bolts away is that I'll give them away then I just know I'll need them the week after!!

A grainger valve on it's own wont help no. But disabling the TVSV should bring the boost down.

Sure would Paul. Only kidding in the last post dude. No worries :) Actually...it was nice to make 18psi for a bit....it was bloody quick... I tested it in 4th gear. put foot down from about 50mph - aarrghhhh..I'm doing 95!! how did that happen! lol...looked at the boost guage....ohhh xxxx!! I'll lo...

would disabling the Tvsv and fitting a grainger valve bring the boost back down and allow me to set it properly?

Hi, My car is finally run in after I rebuilt it and I did my first test today under boost. I fitted my boost guage and the FCD. I set off and floored it, it's boosting to 18psi!! arrghhhh!!! too much boost!! how can I get it down?? to clarify - the car is a rev1 turbo and I did the following to it: ...

well I've plumbed it into the vac hose that the pressure sensor is attached too...dont get a reading off the guage though??

Hiya, I bought a Swoosh boost guage off of ebay to fit to my tubby. Now the guage looks OK, but the fittings all look wrong. The kit comes with a very tiny tube to go from guage to engine bay. There are a load of adapters and bits and pieces and a T piece, but they dont seem to fit together. Anyone ...

But also to reiterate the fact that they are a *big* car... much more of a GT car/ high speed cruiser, thats not to say they're not fast... they are, and decievingly so.
