Something blown or gone badly wrong (could be my fault)
Been messing about with the car last night trying to fit a 3 guage DIN panel and sorting the wiring out. While doing this I thought I would tidy up the turbo timer, and boost control wires as there was excess length to all of them. Did all this, car worked fine started up no bother and all the stuff...

Re: [Mk2 ] REV3+ Light Clusters
corners are about 35 quid for the pair. so 155 quid just for the clusters. The center panel costs about 200+ quid with reverse lights etc :| Circa £355 for the lot!! I did get rev3 lights and centre panel from the US just over £220 delivered from www.silviaparts.com but they don't seem to s...

Re: Wierd Headlight Problem - help!
I can almost guarantee it's the blue box that is giving you problems. The one from the scrappers might be a duffer too. They seem very prone to moisture affecting the circuits inside and who knows where the scrappers box was kept after the smash etc. Take both out, leave them somewhere warm for 4 to...

Re: bike rack... does this look right?
I just used a standard type of bike carrier where one bit rests on the engine cover, the 2nd part just aft of the spoiler. Then literally lay the bike on top of the carrier, ensuring the handlebars and pedals are no where near your paintwork. The same bike rack worked with my Mk1 and 2. The view out...

Re: Blitz Dual SBC boost controller help.
I used this to set up mine.
http://www.team3s.com/FAQdsbcmanual.htm
Is a strange system going on ratio's of a certain maximum boost, but once done it works very well.

Re: REV 5 spoiler on REV 2 ???
I've done this conversion on mine, have to add that it was a LOT of holes. The little ones were welded up and the blobs ground down and blended. Not sure what they did with the bigger holes. I got a copy Rev5 spoiler, and all in including virtually a back half respray excluding the bumper was £500. ...

Re: Which chargecooler?
Can see where you guys are coming from on a view to getting big power gains and prob much higher boost, but surely anything is better than the stock set-up as it looks pathetic to be honest!! . I just want to run 15 psi reliably, with lower charge temps.

Re: Which chargecooler?
thanks for that, I think anything has to be better than the sorry excuse for an intercooler i have at the moment. What were toyota playing at?? I guess if i set it all up and there isn't much difference i could always hang fire for a bigger chargecooler (if i ever get the money), but if it does what...

Sorry to drag this topic up as it is the nearest to the dilemma i have, after useing the search function! I have the chance of getting an st165 chargecooler, is this a better option than the standard intercooler? Obviously I know the st185 and st205 are better options, but they are ones i do not hav...

Re: The benefits of synthetic oil and why.....
What about useing synthetics on an engine that has done around 100,000 miles? I have a rev2 tubby now, useing the same oil as toyota recommended. Would it be beneficail to go fully synthetic at this mileage? I did have a Mk1 with 140,000 on the clock. changed to fully synthetic and I swear the stuff...
