Re: people with border front noses' where is your numberplate???

Mine is in the same place as Harry's just above the radiator on the horizontal strip. Its just stuck on with some uberstrong double sided adhesive that you can get at halfords (in the numberplate section). I didn't use a holder as none of them follow the curve of the nose well. The adhesive is damn ...

Re: Start button, anybody fitted one?

Yeah Jim remote starts are not approved. Alarms are not fool proof so if your cars started on the drive whilst your in the p!sser; you've done half the job for the thief already.... that's the thinking anyway. yeh same as ENSMR2. if my cars remote started, its still locked, but if someone broke int...

Re: Smelly Car

I spoke to Patrick at Rogue and he reckons it could be the patrick as the only other thing on the car that smells like sulpher (rotten eggs) would be if the battery is faulty. Anybody had this problem before? in that case its probably patrick that needs to see the doctor :P  have a look under ...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] STOCK BOOST GAUGE OPERATION ---- HELP !!

All boost controllers will splice into the tube between the compressor housing and wastegate. The easiest place for the boost guage is by the throttle body near where the stock guage get's its reading.. do a search as there's lots of threads on this with pictures to get you on your way!

Re: Tyre Set Up

I'm running 215/235... it depends on how wide your rear alloys are. Mine are 7J all round (not ideal at all) and 235 is about the max you can fit. The grip is excellent though! In general you want 20mm difference between front and rear.

Yep correct, I've ordered from them twice - the first time it took a week. The second time which was just over a month ago the tyres came in about 3 days.

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Removing aftermarket boost gauge (maybe)

Its the pipe you use when bleeding the coolant system. That one is for the heater matrix - you plug one end into the matrix bleed nipple and tie the other end up to the bonnet.

There should be another one somewhere for the radiator. Toyota people were thoughtful chaps in the 90's

Didn't like the idea that some of these products use whereby you let off the whole can in the car with windows shut and AC running on recirculate. Doesnt that deposite more on the fabric and plastics inside the car? If so what's it made from? Phil I've used that kind of stuff..bought it from Halfro...

Re: Oil gauges fitting

A search will return lots of posts regarding this - To summarise though Oil pressure - in the stock location just under the BOV. Don't attach the transducer directly onto this though as it's been found that mounting it here will cause cracks. A better way is to attach a hose and mount the transducer...

Re: taking the rocker cover off? +heat shields?

Yeah definately get new rocker gaskets - there's 2 I think..an Inner and Outer. Get new allen key bolts from twos'r'us in the US (Dunno if theres a supplier in the UK). The stock crosshead bolts loosen themselves over time and cause leaks. There's a gasket in the throttle body just after the butterf...

Re: For the fans of XSPower/SSAC ect

How old is that downpipe?? Mine's been on for over a year now and there's not a spot of rust (I'll take pictures later), there's no heatshield either like in that picture. I've been completely happy with what I've bought from them so far- the intercooler is also still going strong and has definately...
