I did mine ages ago but I think you will need new pipe.
The existing one that goes from the compressor to the wastegate is too short to splice (and use) the MBC.

Re: Mk2 rev2 turbo-Front shock absorber question
It means the seals in the shock absorber have failed and you will probably find that that wheel will bounce all over the place when braking on uneven ground. Is your car a rev1? These had rebuildable struts so that you can replace just the shock absorber (~(£90?). For later revisions you will have t...

I get roughly 250 miles out of a tank too in day to day use - mostly 40-60mph. I have got almost 300 miles on a motorway journey though

Re: Fitting remote central locking
If you're handy with a multimeter you could still have a go at it yourself :thumleft: Was your original central locking factory or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket then you need to find the control box for it; it's probably near the CDL relay (as shown above). Next step is to visit www.the12volt.com...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting XS-Power Intercooler and GTS-Chris Shroud and Fan
Did you have a problem lining up the top pipes from the throttle body to the outlet of the intercooler? I fitted the turbo xs one yesturday and found that the pipes did not line up at all and now i have a huge boost leak which im going to sort out today by removing it and fitting it again. Regards ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Slow wiper motor
as above - if its only your wipers that are slow then its likely to be the motor itself.
If you have other issues such as slow power windows, then check the charging voltage at the battery - should be around 14.7V. Anything less than 14V and your alternator is on its way out

Wish I had a next gen console to play it on :( 7 for me was always the best..the storyline and immersion were fantastic. 8 was so-so..i found the "realistic" graphics a bit distracting and Squall was pretty much an asshole for most of the game  9 was excellent, took a while to get...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Help with ISO adaptor / 15-pin connector
Yes you can use a Y-splitter to connect the Front and Rear line-outs, I did this with a Sony unit I used to have and it worked fine :thumleft: You should check the original 15-pin connector first though - are all the connections made to the pins and are the wiring colours consistant across cuts/bodg...

Does anyone have the fuse diagram for the drivers kick panel?
I lost my cover and the BGB doesn't seem to match what I have (both locations and amperage).
Cheers

ebay is your friend :thumleft: this seller is excellent: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260557260383 I bought one on Friday and received it Saturday morning and it's worked very well since. Being a rev3, chances are that you have an oval connector and need a 90A alternator bu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which alternator for a revision 1
90A is fine, just make sure you get one with a round connector.
The connector was changed to an oval shape at rev3+ although some late rev2s have them aswell.
I ordered the exact same alternator from that seller in that ebay link and it works fine Next day delivery too

Re: drain blocked??
I doubt you would be able to hear water in the radiator so it's probably water in the heater matrix.
Do you get hot air from the vents at idle? If not then, try bleeding it and seeing if it makes a difference.

Re: Fuel system cleaners
I used Redex fuel system cleaner last Friday and the difference was definately noticeable. My idle is a lot better and I feel a bit more torque in the low revs.
Fuel tank holds 55L - add the Redex to an almost empty tank and then fill it up.

At WIM it cost me around £120 to get a full geo + installation of one ez-camber bolt. I think a normal geo is around £90. Its well worth it!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Below average MPG
Generally the less slip the better, but try not to shock load the gearbox (e.g. dumping it). If it is slipping too easily and the bite point is high on the pedal, then there is not much you can do really apart from getting it replaced. FWIW Mr. Clutch charged me £500 to replace mine + regrind flywhe...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Below average MPG
So I've changed put on new Leads/Dizzy cap/Rotor arm and the plugs were changed a few months ago(although, have that black stuff on them), changed the RC Gasket which so far has stopped leaking into the 2&3 chambers which I thought may have affected the MPG. It's gone up a little bit maybe, to ...
