Re: cam upgrade

Forged pistons with valve cutouts Catcam 7105139 Big valve ported head with larger lifters (£900 for the head) Throttle bodies Exhaust manifold exhaust engine management That'll see you 170bhp with plenty of torque at around 7000rpm, redline at 7800. Would be awesome. Problem with the 4AGE is obviou...

It did a 1:08.23, which puts it in 106th position, not 125th?

They've mis printed it! ROFL!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Resetting ECU??

Slarty - it definitely *IS* capable. It remembers instances of engine knock and retards the ignition timing. Only after a LOT of time does it gradually put the timing back in. So if you get crap fuel for a tank, it's worth filling up on V-Power, taking off the ECU overnight, and putting it back on i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 Turbo Gearbox

So looking at the pictures, and what Lewis Jay said - going from LSD to NON-LSD is ok, that will work, but going from NON-LSD to LSD *wont* work??

Thanks

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 Turbo Gearbox

Hi there,

I have a Rev2 Turbo with a Rev3 type viscous LSD. My gearbox has died, and I may have a turbo NON-LSD gearbox available - I've heard I need the driveshafts off the NON-LSD turbo to match the gearbox, is that correct??

Cheers!

Re: Hi Everyone I'm New!!*Pictures Now!*

Hi there, that used to be my car for a year..... then Gersen's off here (my best mate) then he sold it to Alex, so you can go back 3 owners!!!!! Anything you want to know about it/it's history give either of us a nudge... The ECU is not a piggyback, it's a reverse engineered stock item which is mapp...

Rogue Motorsport - Great experience

Hi all, my new MR2 Turbo came to me with many non-standard parts. Most of them old, rubbish, poorly chosen, and leaking! I changed everything I could and had a full raft of new parts on it. On test drive, it was exhibiting extremely scary, and specific handling deficiencies.... through slow to mediu...

SBITS - no way to contact them??

I placed an order online for In Stock items, paid with paypal (which has cleared my account) and I have not received the goods. I've called (and I mean I've tried every hour or so for days now). I've e-mailed Peter according to his email address in his IMOC profile, I've filled out the contact reque...

Re: [FINALIZED] Mk1b T-Bar Mica Blue with Konis, springs, OZ's and much more

Another top quality example for sale from the stable of Gersen. It's as honest as it looks in the pictures, rides perfectly, stops and turns, everything works fine. We just gave car the once over today and took the roof out to take the pictures, and realised just how much motoring this is for the su...

Re: [FINALIZED] Modified 93 Rev2 Black GT T-Bar Turbo - 71,424 miles

This used to be my car, and I loved it then, and still love it now. It *really* is a lovely drive, the suspension is just perfect, and now Tom has put his engine in it (with the steel headgasket, CT20b and pulleys etc etc) it easily has the performance to match. A lovely well balanced drive. The Bra...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Changing ECU method

Stock ECU seems to be hitting boost cut. Try warming it up *GENTLY* on the stock ECU, and then find a downhill and use VERY gentle throttle to allow the engine to slowly climb up to the redline in 2nd gear, basically without using any boost. If I'm right it will rev that high, BUT when you put boost...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] UPDATE: Modification to: JOINT ASSY, STEERING SHAFT UNIVERSAL

The 'slackness' in the steering shaft can be taken up by addressing the play in the upper universal joint shown in the above link. By following this you with find the steering response is significantly improved: http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=81877.html Also it costs nothing and you d...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] UPDATE: Modification to: JOINT ASSY, STEERING SHAFT UNIVERSAL

Hi all, yeah it's a simple mod. The bolts that are on there will be destroyed in the removal process so just get2 new bolts and nuts, with locking nuts, and washers and loctite. You can use long bolts and double-nut it for added security if you like. The spacers you discover in the middle of that as...
