Rev1/2 is 7psi
Rev3 is also 7 I think
the T-VSV bleeds the pressure up to 10psi in the rev1/2 and 13psi in the Rev3.
I'm sure that's how it's done?

Re: MK1 CO2 emissions anyone
That's awful! Sorry to hear about that! It's not even *extreme* cases, since a number of small exposures in a small timeframe can cause this, if the ruined red blood cells are not removed by the liver and replaced in time! Some comfort may be taken in those extreme cases that it is not a pai...

Trivia!!
CO when inhaled binds to haemoglobin permanently, thus destroying that red-blood cells ability to carry o2 for it's entire life-cycle (6 weeks). Therefore you can suffocate if you breath in enough, since you won't be able to get an o2 into your system. Smokers breathe in CO and a certain % of their ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] who has degree'd their HKS 264/264 with HKS specs (110*/103*)?
I thought that cam-timing was now all about "lift-at-TDC" rather than setting the cam to give full lift at so many degrees ATDC?
This better controls the overlap and ensures a better idle.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CT20b turbo fitting cost for rev2
PS you can't use the CT20b elbow, it'll foul your oil filter, you must use the CT26 one, unless obviously you're running an aftermarket downpipe

Billies are gas pressurised so will assist the spring in lifting the car, dunno if the stock ones are? Or if they are not in great condition...?

Re: What's My High Spec Rev3 Tubby Worth??
I don't think you need anywhere near that much. Forged pistons, rings, bearings, full engine gasket set, steel head gasket, big turbo, big injectors, big fuel pump, engine management. You're looking at £5,000 I reckon, 450bhp. You'll also get money back for selling your existing CT20b Turbo, and the...

Re: What's My High Spec Rev3 Tubby Worth??
How much power does a TOTB car need? How does the £12,000 needed to be spent break down? Maybe it won't end up that much? I've seen and driven this car, and I'll vouch for it completely. It's worth £5k all day long It also has immense brakes. Not sure why it's thought to need that much more spent? A...

Re: Missfire / Running Issues - One For The Uber-Techies
I bet it's going lean on accelleration enrichment.
I've got an LC-1 wideband and I've made an adapter so it fits in the O2 sensor place on the SC manifold. Hooked up to a gauge it could tell you at least whether the fuelling is doing something iffy during the problem.

Re: Missfire / Running Issues - One For The Uber-Techies
It definitely won't be the oxygen sensor - that's a narrowband. It will only go closed under low to medium revs and VERY low load. As soon as you boot it, the O2 sensor won't be doing anything. In fuelling terms, misfires are lean and bogging it rich. In ignition terms, poor performance means retard...

Brainstorm...
1/ Rotor arm, cap, leads and king, plugs
2/ Coil and ignitor
3/ Cam timing
4/ Ignition timing
5/ Air leaks
6/ throttle position sensor
7/ AFM
8/ ECU itself (which includes appropriate grounds)

I've seen it in the flesh. It's perfectly good.
the wheels will get £350 all day, the exhaust will get a few hundred, so you're looking at a rev1 which will pass an mot for £500. Underneath is fine, no leaks, nothing nasty. No clunking suspension. All up together.
Keep it mate.

509's have not been around since 1999! they were superceded by the 510,then the 520 and now the 539 which has become the c.drive?? Tyre technology getting "better"? I don't think so. I had 509's on my 165bhp Mk1 Fiat Uno turbo and they rocked. Better than the 539 in every way. tyre technol...
