In answer to the original question, and in agreement with Nathan, I'd not put that finish back on any engine I put together. It's just not good enough. Skim it a couple of thou', as Nathan says, won't affect the CR much.

I really like reading about tuners who are concerned with longevity rather than just BHP figures... the engine makes what it makes, if you want more you are surely better off re-matching the parts and upgrading the correct bits than running the engine you have to within an inch of it's life! MoTeC is arguably the BEST out there bar none. Used throughout motorsport, many applications. It's awesome.
