Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)
Thanks for the suggestions and offers of help, they really are appreciated! Yes, running COPS. You think that might be the cause of the first 2 issues? How about the map or some settings in the ECU? I did speak to Patrick briefly about this last year and he suggested it might be the ECU pulling thin...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)
Things that need addressing: Cutting out at just over 6k, feels like it's hitting the rev limiter. Been like that since day 1, does it all the time. Stuttering between 2.2 and 2.5k under light throttle and constant speed. Can feel the car starting to judder and kangaroo underneath you. Blip the thro...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)
It's all relatively minor in the scheme of things and no doubt can be sorted if I chuck yet more money at it but therein lies the problem. I sucked up a huge amount in labour costs to get the car back on the road and it's still not quite where I want it to be. Not hugely wrong but wrong enough to st...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)
Promised myself a year ago I wasn't going to post on this thread again but since you asked... Pretty much lost the love shortly after getting it home and realising that after over 4 years in 2 different garages and having spent enough on it to have bought a second hand Ferrari it still had niggles a...

Thanks for the better pictures Odin
Hi level brake light is incorporated into the roof strip and included in the sale. I'll measure the width of the roof strip, that will tell you the amount of overhang there will be.

Re: st205 charge cooler operating questions
You shouldn't be getting near boiling the water in the system if the pump is actually flowing coolant around the system. I have a temperature gauge on the coolant outlet of the charge cooler and the worst I see on a functioning system is around 20°C over ambient immediately after boosting. My money...

Try and determine what make and model pump it is. It might be working but still not be man enough for the task.

Sweet! Great choice Phil
That's going to be a lot of fun to drive on the public roads as well as being a pretty handy track weapon
Totally left of centre though, felt sure you'd be unveiling a Porsche or something similar

Re: Major boost cut at higher revs
Sounds like boost spikes. Do you have any boost cut limits set on the EBC? I'd try turning down the gain on your EBC a tad or turning it off entirely and test again. That's a quick, easy and free of charge thing to try before you start swapping out bits.

Re: A squeak
Check the hi level brake light. I had something similar, turned out to be the mounting screws for the light had come loose and was squeaking at speed. I was able to replicate the squeak when pressing/tapping on the light from outside the car. From memory there are 2 screws for it accessible outside ...

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Good luck with the sale Phil :thumleft: Some lucky soul (with deep pockets!) is going to get a beautifully sorted car. A steep asking price in the current climate if you don't mind me saying so but worth every penny for sure and unless you're in a hurry to get shot of it I'd hold out for that money ...
