Hi level brake light is incorporated into the roof strip and included in the sale. I'll measure the width of the roof strip, that will tell you the amount of overhang there will be.

Sounds like boost spikes. Do you have any boost cut limits set on the EBC? I'd try turning down the gain on your EBC a tad or turning it off entirely and test again. That's a quick, easy and free of charge thing to try before you start swapping out bits.

Check the hi level brake light. I had something similar, turned out to be the mounting screws for the light had come loose and was squeaking at speed. I was able to replicate the squeak when pressing/tapping on the light from outside the car. From memory there are 2 screws for it accessible outside ...
