Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)

Thanks Phil. Looked a bit bleak around Christmas time where I amost had to get shot of it but hung in there and pleased to say it's all back on track now. On that note, just want to say a public thanks to Ashley for all the advice and support behind the scenes and for helping me keep it all in persp...

Indeed. After nearly 2 years and 3 months of being without, MR2 ownership, and driving a fast car in general, is a dim and distant memory but maybe, just maybe, this will all go according to plan and I will actually have my car back in a few weeks time

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)

Thought it time to blow the dust off this thread and post an update. Because there is one :) Rogue have been working on the car again and it's pretty much good to go. The engine is running and all seems ok so far. Just a few odds and ends to finish up then it's off for MoT and mapping. Hopefully all...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Greddy PRofec B Spec II - recommended settings?

So what's the idea of hi and lo modes? I can set the "lo" boost if I want to drive normally and then I have the "hi" mode if I decide to get a speeding ticket, right? Spot on. You could have lo mode set up for stock boost and hi mode for 1.2 bar although you don't have to set it...

Good setup guide here.

There are no differences between hi and lo modes. It's just so you can set 2 different boost levels and switch between them :thumleft:

Re: [FINALIZED] What's it worth? Rev3 Turbo Unfinished Project

Thanks for the advice, both on here and via PM, and thanks to those who've contacted me regarding buying the car. I really don't want to get rid of it after having come so far and it being so close to complete but it may well be a case of needs must. Got a few options open to me so will consider it ...

What's it worth? Rev3 Turbo Unfinished Project

A change of circumstances means I may have to call it day with this car. Looking at my options and trying to decide if it's worth keeping, trying to sell as a whole or breaking. How much is this likely to be worth as it is now? Couple of grand or is that wishful thinking? Doesn't need much work to f...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New mods - A work in progress (Picture Heavy!)

Are your wheels staggered? What sizes are your running? Apologies, didn't spot your question. Yes, my wheel are staggered. 7J ET35 215x40x17 on the front and 8J ET35 235x40x17 on the rear. Rear wheels sit in a little, ET32 would have been a better fit. Might as well update this thread while I'm her...

Re: MR2 Outdoor Car Cover for the Winter months

When it comes to car covers, you get what you pay for. A £20 Ebay/Halford special will be a load of tat that will do more harm than good. Take a look these. Multi layered, fully breathable, UV resistant, soft inner lining that doesn't scratch your paint and fully securable with under car straps. I p...

Wow, that's a big wish list! Your car certainly will be awesome when it's done 8) Lovely looking rims :thumleft: To be honest I don't know exactly how much this project has cost me. Way more than originally intended that's for sure! The difference between you and me is that you sound like you're goi...

Re: Reducing cockpit exhaust drone

Interesting. The foam I used is water proof so shouldn't run into any condensation absorbtion issues but probably worth checking every so often just to make sure there's no rust forming in that area. Cheers for the heads up :thumleft:

I'm hoping the Dynamat should make a noticeable difference but will let you know. It's not difficult to install per se but it is a bit of a biatch to work with as it's very sticky stuff and once attached is a nighmare to get off!
