Considered doing something similar with my bumper years ago. Will be interested in hearing the results and I might have to re-visit this area if your findings are positive

Oh right, and so how will that make the car go faster? Who said it would? Ok, so what is the point in doing it? To give faster acceleration by reducing rotational mass is my understanding. As to whether it's a good idea or not is something I don't have an opinion on. OP - sorry for the hijack.
