Re: Toyota sprint series Teesside (Dark) round 5

Sorry to hear about the engine problems Partrick.

It does look an impressive car, be great to see it in action next year.

Re: R888's > MK1 MR2

Sounds pretty heavy wearing. I've had the same set on since just after the first sprint, in which time i've done. 3 More sprint races Trackday around Rockingham Trackday around Oulton Park 3000 Road miles They are still roadlegal not loads of tread mind 1-2mm I'd say. The tyres themselves only start...

Re: Woodbridge - Toyota Sprint Series

Celcia ST205 GT4. Stock ish car, running 375bhp and whatever he had time to put in hehe. Great to see him on track, hand breaking here and there and really throwing the car around. Adrian was trailing to him all day until the last run when he went complete nuts and knocked off nearly 6 seconds. Seri...

Hey Roboliver I spoke to you briefly on the steps of the Toyota unit. You looked pretty good from what I saw from the startline, I was quite supprised it was your first time on a track :thumleft: R888's will make a world of difference to the grip and i'm sure you'll bring the times down loads :) Lov...

Sounds like a fun time guys.

When I sort out a quieter exhaust for my car I'll have to pop along to donnington before it shuts for the F1 Rebuild

Re: SMOKED BY A VAUXHALL CORSA!!!!!!

New cars on whole have improved greatly. What was acceptable 10 to 20 years ago wouldn't be allowed even in cheap korean brands today. While we moan about the quality and feel of interiors we no worry if they will stay attached together after a year! (think 205 Interior). Personally interiors don't ...

Re: My MR2 - the dark destroyer

Well best of luck with the car at TOTB Nathan. Personally I'd love to see a high powered MR2 post some fast lap times. I can't see why it wouldn't be possible seeing what a turbo powered older 911 can do. Just take a bit of time to setup. It would for one make it easier for me to decided how far to ...

Re: Teeside Toyota Sprint Series Video

Thanks for the Video Chris. Great fun to Watch ;)

Was interesting to see how people took the back section as thats where I reckon I lost the most time.

Funny the see the mr2 spin just before the Finish Line.... I mean who'd be stupid enough to do that ;)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mk2 Turbo - sub 1100kg - No carbon - No glass fibre

Very nice ;) I've done some of the above mentioned and the car weighted in approximately 1114kg without fuel (Using rogue's Corners Scales). I'd say there is another 40-50kg to come out but you'd have to remove the heating system and the dash. Talking about weights I believe the turbo that runs or r...

But all the laptimes aside.. I'd just enjoy it as much as you can for the time being.. who knows for how much longer it's possible to drive around the Nordschleife.. now that the "green" parties in Germany are becoming more and more popular among the public.. Sooo when is the next IMOC me...

Re: Nurburgring

8:30 should be possible with the amount of power from a Rev3 Tubby but you'll be pushing the car (and yourself) to the limit though. I think the GT4 will shine in the wet.. on the dry you'll always be faster with the MR2 I'm pretty confident about that.. GT4 is pretty damn heavy and they can unders...

Re: Nurburgring

Nice BTG times :thumleft: I was aiming to try and get 8:30 in the Mr2 had I been taking it this year as I feel it's achievable without risking the car. GT4 should be fun and alot easier to feel around the track. Would be nice actually as I should spend more time on my lines and build up confidence i...

Nurburg... best track in the world ;) I'm going over second last weekend of July and going to be camping with some friends there. Not sure the mr2 is going I think I'll be driving a GT4 around (it's to close to the next sprint if I break somthing) but mr2 will be back there next year :) Your more to...

Very cool. I'm sure you'll have alot of fun with the 2.

Any place with a reasonable run off is a good place to start but you can try anywhere if your careful. Some of us even did the ring to break our teeth

Re: Track tyre pressures with r888s

Last sprint I did I ran them at normal road pressures.

Tomiam on the other hand ran one on 9psi ;p

If you get chance I'd just play around with em but I'd say 3psi either way is all you'd want on a sprint as they just won't get any heat into them.
