Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Clutch making strange noises

Yeah, it's doable at home, just a drain plug and a fill plug. You can either use a hand pump to fill it (like this http://www.coleparmer.co.uk/Product/Hand_operated_siphon_pump_2_GPM_Polyethylene/UY-06439-00?referred_id=3482) or use a tube and funnel. Make sure you can undo the fill plug before you...

I'm not sure actually as I haven't had the car long. DIY job at home in the garage? Which oil is recommended for it?

Did it work just out of interest? As said above, never put 95 in there. It causes all sorts of issues with Turbos, even if not immediately obvious.

I don't reckon you'll need to replace the knock sensor either, they very rarely go wrong on mildly tuned tubbies.

Not cheap but they were very good to have.

Does he have any more by any chance? When you say not cheap, mind pm'ing me what you paid for them, or if you would sell yours? :)

Re: [FINALIZED] [FOR SALE] MK2 Rev 3 Turbo

do you know if the 150,000 is a mix of km and miles and if so how much? Seems a bit overpriced tbh mate You are part of the reason as to why these cars never appreciate, or at least worth a representative value. We need to start following the mentality of the Cosworth crew. Any 'enthusiast' who que...

Purple Rev5 N/A - Harrogate

Seen you a few times. Spotted your quad rear light conversion a few times on the way home from work. I am currently driving my white tubby to work and back for a few weeks and you gave me a heads up few days back.

Nice car!! :thumleft:

Wind deflectors

I was looking to get some wind deflectors (is that the name for them?!) so I can have my windows down slightly when it's raining and to stop wind. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have a tin top so no t-bar issues when removing.

Re: Bride floor/car mats

Looking to get some car mate and was wondering if anyone has a set of the Bride ones and could give an opinion on the quality? https://www.nengun.com/bride/floor-mats They are quite pricey so would certainly expect good quality. It's either a set of these or some old JDM MR2 ones. The man in dandis...

I'll just keep driving until I get an issue then I guess. It's only a sound at this point, no slipping yet.

Is the figure of £300-400 for a new clutch and labour still about right?

Is there any way to check this or replace with axle stands, or is a clutch out jobby?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Clutch making strange noises

When I reverse, that's when it makes the most noise. It sounds like a slipping/whine noise, and considerably louder if reversing up a slight incline when under a bit more load. This was the only issue at first so I thought nothing of it. Today, once warm, I noticed that after changing from 3rd to 4t...

Re: Rev3 turbo to a skyline gtr?

Never had a Skyline, but when I had an Evo 8.... I think it lasted 2 months before I sold it. No issues, and it was running 365hp, but god damn it was boring! Steering was far too responsive and cornering was about as much fun as Susan Boyle sat on your face. I LOVE seeing an R34 drive past, they're...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bucket seat mounting options ?

Hi Pal looks like I've solved it, Rougue Motorsports make the rails with side mounts. I've asked them though if i can just by the rails as i have already purchased Corbeau side mounts. luckily they have a old pair in stock and a new pair and are willing to split from the side mounts and sell to me....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bucket seat mounting options ?

Hi Guys What I mean is that I wanted to fit the side mounts to the O/E bolt holes, the front rail hole and the rear that sits lower, I'm having to look into a way to space the rear bolts hole because of the lower setting. Good luck with that! The front bolt holes are horizontal so you'd need to mak...

^^ this too! This man went one step further lol. I had good conditioned undertrays, so I simply cut off any excess bolt and the trays cover them nicely. :thumleft:

I would use a 65mm spreader plate under the car, and use a square washer plate slid under your carpet to reinforce the top if you want peace of mind.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bucket seat mounting options ?

Hi Guys yeah after spending close to £1500 on two new seats I don't want to have to settle on the positioning, as far back as possible for me is best My genuine Bride rail on the drivers side doesn't go all the way back, but my stock rail on the passengers does with the universal rail I mentioned. ...
