i had to remove the pump to get the i/c in but i left the hoses connected so its still full of gas. Is there a safe way i can de gas it. I run a motorsport team so have all the tools, and mechanical knowledge - its just race cars dont have a/c!!
Thanks guys,
Nath
Hi, i am forced to remove my air con as is keeps fouling the shroud on my hks i/c. was just wondering if there is anything to be wary of. Obvioulsy removing the hoses off it needs to be carfull but once the pump is off what do i do with those hoses?
thanks,
Nathan

Lol yeah that guy was in our group that travelled up there. He firstly went about 2seconds before the green light and secondly, I think Rory is right, they still had it on the 1/8 mile setting. Was funny to watch thou!!!! I think the high light of my day was on the second time of going head to head ...
Cheers Rory
i was launching at about 4.5k and just progressivly released the clutch. I dumped the clutch in the first 2 runs and just sat there spinning like mad!!

Went to santa pod for the first time yesterday and took my tubby down the strip... having never done this before it took me a coupld of runs to get the launch sorted!! I did 5 runs in total, the first a 14.0, 2nd a 13.8, now i got the lauch right...... 3rd run was 12.8, 4th was 12.8 and last run was...
hi guys, santa pod was awesome yeasterday. never been to one of these before and found it a real good experience! Was soo happy to get into the 12's with minimal mods. My last run was a 12.9 with a mass of wheel spin - really annoyed me as i honestly think that it could have been a 12.7 or even a hi...
my ct20 holds 1bar to the red line!
Have you still got the old bleed valve? if so then why not re install that. That way you will know if the mbc is the problem or not.
oh i just thought you may have known him as he must live close and does a few bits and bobs for your car.
But he never goes on this board so you wouldnt know him from here......... maybe he should.... would possibly get him more business???
if you spent the money on the 16v that you would spend on buying and installing the 20v you would be looking at about 180hp!! The 20v just isnt worth it. But if you are still insistant then yes, jon at jb is a good guy. I have known him for about 8 years now. Please beware that delivery time is leng...
The 4age cylinder head in STANDARD form flows enough air for 190bhp Where did you read that then? Which head are you talking about? My engine was a small port. The exhaust port is way way to restrictive to be able to make much more than 160hp std. I was told by richard macer that my head was good e...
I just cannot see how you guys find the departure 2 so nice. It looks so cheap and tacky having those silecers hanging below the car!!!
Just imo i suppose - also speed bumps must be a nightmare with that exhaust!
they are a luxury not a neccessity. Some high comp forgies would even the torque curve out nicely compared to just skiming the head as it retains the combustion chamber shape and volume.
