Steady!

It's been said that Rogue's employees are dreading the day when the car gets taken away, as their company pension pot will diminish uncontrollably.

Re: your other classic?

I should never have sold it. It was the Type R too, so lightweight (it's all relative!), with no abs etc, compared to standard.

That was my first event too - I'm probably stood to the side of the shot, not knowing anybody!

How are Fred and Doris doing? And is Flitzer still on the road?

Sad news Pete. If I still had a garage I'd have it off your hands and tidy it up. :(

Re: Gran Turismo 6

Ok then. I'm thinking about getting this if it's much different then GT5.

I've owned all of them so far, but felt let down by the last instalment.

Those who have it, what makes it better now?

Any damage yet?
Do the cars leave the ground easier (crests, accidents etc)?
AI? Is it more realistic yet?

Re: [FINALIZED] Beams SW20 / £3000

It would sell itself if only people would travel!! That's the problem I had selling my CL. No one wanted to head North to Newcastle... I took it to Manchester last weekend and left it with my Father. It had sold by Tuesday. I don't understand people, who are looking for something a little different...

Re: [FINALIZED] Beams SW20 / £3000

 There have been two MR2's I have been interested in recently. Both at opposite ends of the british isles. I think for sure I would have bought this on impulse by now if it were nearer. Distance shouldn't be an issue if the right car comes along, especially in the UK. I've travelled up and d...

Re: GTA 5 general banter!

I'm still only on 12.5%, but i'll only play it once a week if that. Might complete it sometime next year, if at all. I know that feeling! I'm still going through San Andreas on the PC. I'm about half way through GTA 4 on the PS, along with Red Dead. I still haven't unwrapped Mafia 2, which I got fo...

Re: Speedo not working after 4AGZE swap

So can this gear be replaced without pulling the gearbox out? Yes it can, although it's a right faff though. Before all that though, check your cable works. Take out the end out of the gearbox and spin it with your fingers whilst looking at the dashboard. If you have movement then the cable is good...

That needs a new floor. My first MR2 was similar. I discovered the issue when I tried to jack the car up.

Re: Car won't fire up

I'd be rechecking the timing from scratch by know. Unless the dizzy is more than a tooth out, I can't see it being the issue. If the timing was close, it would at least be trying to fire with various pops and bangs too. Need to check this, but from memory (from along time ago!) - at top dead centre ...

Re: Car won't fire up

i was away all weekend, but my mate went to mine to get it done. He's said the timing is bang on and it was setup at TDC. My dad's battery charger is older than I am and I heard in the background considerable lack of effort wen it was trying to fire up. I'm going to buy a new charger and charge it ...
