Re: 3SGTE Roadster - update 13.2 @ 108mph 1/4 mile

I am running a turbo blanket too but mainly to stop my bulkhead and soft top getting too hot to touch!

I want to see the difference in your 1/4 mile times with the 20b. Assume you are planning to try it at Pod this year?

Re: 3SGTE Roadster - update 13.2 @ 108mph 1/4 mile

Sounds like the 3inch is working out (That's what she said). :eye:   Hopefully get some testing done once the snow has gone and have a bit of dry road. Want to see what difference ct20b makes on yours as I think I'm only the ecu and fuel regulator away from your spec now basically.

Re: 3SGTE Roadster - update 13.2 @ 108mph 1/4 mile

Car is booked in at JP exhausts in Macclesfield on Friday. Not the cheapest but known to be pretty reliable. Decided on a 3" system to future proof the car as don't want to end up needing a new system if I ever go for more power. Can already tell boost creep is likely to be the next issue on th...

Re: 3SGTE Roadster - update 13.2 @ 108mph 1/4 mile

So I got totally messed about on the exhaust again. Turned up on the day of the appointment for fitting with the missus in her car to give me a lift home and they didn't turn up or have the courtesy to call me later. Stuck a negative comment on their Facebook page and they deleted it immediately. Av...

Re: JAE Information from club rep meeting

Sort of glad I changed to the rac now although they are probably not much better. Hopefully I won't be finding out tomorrow evening when my car makes the journey to JAE.

Hope you get it sorted.

Oh sh1te :( I was looking forward to meeting your car. And you, obviously  I hope you can sort it out without too much fuss. I'll have your drift session if you definitely can't make it, though :) :( :) likewise! I hope so too. Still sat in a bloody lay-by waiting for the AA at the momen...

Re: 3SGTE Roadster - update 13.2 @ 108mph 1/4 mile

Took it to York a few months ago but it wasn't running quite right and holding back over 5k revs. Wideband was doing some weird things as well. Only managed a 13.7 @ 103mph. Diagnosed a dodgy lambda sensor so replaced that and wideband seems happier now at idle. Not really done much more on it as I ...

That's what I managed to do. Also have to bend the other chargecooler pipe to go on the turbo as well as the turbo sits more towards the gearbox on a rev 3.

Re: 3SGTE really rich cold start and idle

Nah, bought a new lambda and no difference so another £80 down the drain. Given up and bought an S2000 for summer instead as I'm sick of it now. thats a shame what did/didn't you replace? did you swap over the map sensor? Changed coolant temp sensor, lambda sensor and map sensor so far. Have reset ...

Right. Had a look at my spare mk2 turbo pump and it's miles too big to go into the mk3 carrier but not convinced that's the problem anyway.

Have you checked for air leaks between the AFM (presuming rev1/2) and throttle body?

I'm running a rev 3 engine. What fuel pumps do the v6 roadsters tend to run on?

Drilled the evap line out to 6mm and gutted that one way valve thing in the fuel pump holder. That's now my return.

Re: Lambda voltage not oscillating 3SGTE

If you've been running rich for a while the lambda is likely dead, you can test it off the car. Have you checked the wiring from the lambda to the ecu? I assume you've checked for air leaks? Swapped the lambda today for another I had lying around and now its sticking at 0.12v with this one. Still r...
