Re: leaky t-bar window side..
Try different positions on the eccentric guide as the tightest one isn't necessarily the best I found. Mine was all gummed up with bathroom sealant when I got the car. It was a right mess and I spent hours and hours digging it out and cleaning it up so be very careful if you go that route. New seals...

Re: SC running poorly
Last night on a hunch I swapped the engine computer ... and ... it started and ran perfectly from cold and the green light is back again  Not the first time its tricked me into thinking its fixed so I'll give it a few days to see if it continues to behave itself. Thanks everyone for the sug...

Re: Rust to roof/windscreen area. Advice please!
With regards to the clips I presuming that they are a separate entity to the windscree trim itself and that they are bedded into the screen adhesive themselves and the windscreen trim is then clipped on to these clips? In that respect I imagine that the section through the windscreen head might loo...

Re: SC running poorly
Aaargggh! Its gone again  I'm beginning to think I have 2 problems. 1. When its cold it just doesn't want to rev past 3k. Gradually gets smoother as it warms up and revs normally enough once its warmed up except... 2. Not pulling like it should and no green light (does come on when you turn the...

Re: Expensive dashboard
I must have 3 in the garage. Maybe I should get rid of them! How easy is it to sell to Japan when you don't understand any of the language? Not that easy without a native to help you. As a seller you'll have to use the super-respectful keigo (wikipedia it) thats like a whole different languag...

Re: Expensive dashboard
Wow! Why so much? Non-JDM speedos fetch silly money for some reason, maybe because the standard speedo looks a bit Fisher Price. This one was quite sensational though with the top 4 bids all over 28,000 (>200GBP). If you're breaking a car you know where to list the speedo. You could get more than t...

Re: RC AW11 Bodys ! I Read, somone was looking for one ! ....
Ah, didn't realise that they are a local outfit, well local-ish... List price is just over ¥16000 but a couple of the mail order hobby shops here are doing it at around the ¥12,000 mark. This is just for the chassis and body, does not include motor, radio, servos, battery, charger etc. etc. ABC them...

Re: An AW10
Sold for ¥36,500. Not such a low spec after all as it has aircon that's converted to R134, on its own thats worth way more than the selling price. The seller kept up a bit of a running commentary by regularly updating the auction with random bits of information like his mate, a former Toyota mechani...

Re: SC running poorly
Sorted (again)! Seems to have been the hose on the supercharger outlet. All the wiggling of the intercooler from above must have knocked it a bit loose. Pulling like a train now.
Thanks, Alan

Re: SC running poorly
Got this sorted. Took the IC off, cleaned up all the gunk around the joints and put it back together with the jubilee clips done up good and tight. Now its pulling normally and the little green light is back again :D. Well the problem is back again. I haven't used the car much since I thought it wa...

Re: Diy Car ramps
I live in a wooden framed house. I'm sure the weight of me and my family and all our stuff on the first floor puts more pressure on bits of the frame than a car might. It does wobble alarmingly in earthquakes or when a big truck does down the street but I'm told thats all part of the design  ...

Re: Radio controlled AW11
I've done a few searches on yahoo auction and the web in general after seeing the same article to no avail. There is an SW20 body available ( http://www.abchobby.com/productpage/mr2.html ) and the car that Anthony is pretending to sit on definitely looks like a Mk2 but can't tell for sure about the ...

According to the JDM wiring diagram ping 16 on the 18 pin connector is marked VF and just goes to the diagnostic connector.
