Don't think that would be the case as the bolt is as stiff now, after say 2 or 3 turns as it was when I started

Yes, been using a breaker bar, I can get the bolt to move but it doesn't seem to be getting loose.
Maybe I need 3 weetabix

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rear crossmember bolts proving difficult
I'm changing my ARB bushes and after reading what was required I thought..... Easy. However, I'm having difficulty undoing the 4 crossmember bolts  I've soaked them in WD40 over the last 2 days and I can get them to turn but the crossmember doesn't seem to be budging and the bolts are still ve...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Shock Absorber Top Nut Torque Setting
Thanks Jeff but I have a feeling that is for rev 1. On the same section it says tighten shocker absorber hub bolts to 255Nm, on the later version it was changed to 173Nm.
Hence my confusion

[Mk2] [Turbo] Shock Absorber Top Nut Torque Setting
Looking in the BGB under the rear shock absorber section there appears to be a different torque setting stated.
On the exploded diagram it says 73Nm, whilst within the text is say 30Nm
Does anybody know which is correct?

I'd guess the bearing located in a rear hub that connects to the tie-rod, long shot but could be.

Re: Help with a Bush
Have a read of these threads from our American friends, which explains that the spherical bearing is not available without buying the hub :( They do mention a similair bearing but there is a diameter issue for the bolt :? http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=104015&highlight=play+rear+tie+rod h...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rear Tie Rod Knocking?
While I was fitting my coilovers I noticed that when you grip the rear tie rods and rotate them slightly (like revving a motorbike) they knock. My passenger side knocks louder than the drivers side but they both knock :? Is this normal? Perhaps if anyone has got a couple of spare minutes they can gi...

Re: Leaving feedback on a transaction where you are not named.
......... the system is potentially open to abuse by sellers who know they are likely to recieve negative feedback. By not naming the buyer they also guarantee that they won't recieve negative feedback. Patrick Patrick, that is a very relevant point. I wouldn't like to think that members of this fo...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Corner reflectors keep falling out!
Mine are that tight, that you really need to "hammer" then in. So it does seem that something is worn and not creating the tight fit required.

Wouldn't it be better to drive up and down the high streets in the Middle East as they are responsible for the current increase in fuel prices
