Now going on ebay.

starting price £3000, no reserve.

as i previously said, she has to go.

If anyone wants to make an offer over the starting price please pm asap and bear in mind that it would have to be a good enough offer to convince me not to auction.

cheers,

Dean.

More info I forgot to add: Cambelt was changed around 10,000 miles ago. Heater pipes that run along the top of the fuel tank have been bypassed using the heater hose conversion that many people do. Rocker cover gasket has been replaced using genuine Toyota parts. When the head gasket was replaced lo...

Re: Temp gauge not going over quarter way

If the thermostat was stuck "open" it would cause the car to run colder, (probably effect the gague like you describe) But, if it was stuck "closed" the engine would overheat. (like you describe) Sounds like you have both problems so probably not the thermostat. I'd try bleeding ...

Re: what causes a tubby to run rough when cold? Perfect warm.

Yep, cold start injector is fine too, i've checked or changed so much stuff that i'm forgetting bits. It started running a bit funny when warm today too! ](*,) revs were dropping to around 500 on idle, the up to 750, then back down, etc. Then one minute it was driving perfect, the next souned louder...

Re: just a quickie on bending the exhaust grill

I took off my rear bumper and CUT the grill off!

That got rid of it.

I suppose if you want to just bend it out the way, it wont be visable, so anyway you can!

There's loads of people on here that have done it, i'm sure someone can help.

Good luck mate.

Re: Can anyone find out whats wrong with my car.. Reward for winner

You can try unplug each injector and check the resistance from the plug terminals, should be 2-4 ohms. This will eliminate the injector wiring if ok. What about the fuel pump resistor pack? (little silver box in the engine bay, by the bootlid, passenger side, the one with the square plug) There's ei...

Re: what causes a tubby to run rough when cold? Perfect warm.

yea, no error codes, afm checks ok and I set it up with a digital depth gauge so should be fine. I'm a bit lost for options now. The bgb says EGR valve, so i'm going to pull of all the pipes to it and see what happens, maybe change the valve if its simple enough. Any ideas are much appreciated as i'...

Re: what causes a tubby to run rough when cold? Perfect warm.

Hi Paul, hope all is well with you n the 2!

Yea, symptoms you describe sound familiar.

I've tried 2different sensors so maybe the wiring as you say.

What's the best way to check? Check for power at the plug?

Thanks Paul,
Dean
