Re: Project MRX350

i have tried rust electrolysis in soda solution but wasn't very pleased. rust flakes went off but metal was still rusty (but acceptable for rust converting paints). maybe i didn't leave it there long enough.

speed-source. their shipping selector is broken and so only the most expensive shipping methods can be selected, so I had to do it via virtual address provider

Re: Mk1 Supercharger Conversion Engine Mount Strengthening

just ordered my poly mounts. is it enough to reinforce just the front mount right? i believe the front mount is the one that gets shock-loaded after vigorous launch.

Re: Problems after ST165 brake upgrade

The closest rotors to what you need are ST165 celica fronts or SV21-25 camry fronts. I went with the camry ones as they are +-0.1mm the same height as MK1b fronts. I didn't account for pad carrier thickness increase though so that's maybe why ST165 rotors might be the best fit (they sit 1.5mm closer...

Re: Alternator problem?

if the rubber boot looks like an odd bell, it could be intended for vacuum sensor that sends signal to "economy"-useless meter. uk cars have voltmeter there on dashboard so you don't need it

help needed: front clear lens

If you don't like stories, skip the part written in Italic :) Several months ago, I have ordered clear turning lenses from Fensport. Genuine Toyota parts. I ordered 2 pieces...

I did it the lazy way so i have just brush-painted the casing with all bolts in place in red colour. cant compare it to what you have done =P~ did you buy new bolts or did you have them all plated? what did you do with the casing? plated as well? it's much better for heat trans...

Re: 4AGE 16v Cam Gears, Valve springs, Cams

that case with worn HKS gears is some 5 years old but can still be found on the interwebs. if it's of any concern now, i don't know. for new gears, probably not. for second hand ones, I would be careful. therefore my thinking is, try ebay specials and if they last, keep them. if not, get something b...

good luck with the sale, but it would help to state, whether it's mk1a or mk1b as those two had different tie rods :thumleft:
