Re: Supercharger alternator

when I had my first alternator reconditioned, the rotor or its coil was bust and was really hard to find a replacement. everything else was a p1$$ of cake but finding the correct rotor was what took almost 3 months. i bet someone else would call it beyond repair for simplicity's sake.

Re: Clutch alignment tips

NICE! thanks peter and paul ;) I knew there must be an alternative!! I just didn't think it can be done as simple as this... I was preparing to stick in all kinds of plastic piping to make it centric

Clutch alignment tips

Have never changed a clutch and now, all of a sudden, I will have to change one on both 3SGE and 4AGE. I know there are some special alignment tools available, although they are engine specific and quite hard to come by. Do I really need them or is there another way?

Re: poor rear lights - recommendations for brighter bulbs pls

my rear lenses got mliky. need a good polish. i wouldn't dare to go LED as diodes tend to go rea(r)l hot and melt the plastic

Re: Gearbox refurb questions

yes, the clips are supposed to hang loose in the groove, but they should be tight enough so they won't come off the shaft easily.

rear caliper operation question

i have rebuilt some mk2 rear calipers recently, but the working principle is the same as on mk1. ok, on one of the calipers, when pulling the handbrake lever, the piston goes outwards, but as I release the lever, piston slides back in. on the other one, after releasing the lever piston stays and doe...
