Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 Turbo vs Impreza Turbo?!

Oh ok I dont feel quite so bad now  Im guessing screamer pipes aren't standard either... Hate to say it but I actually quite like Imprezas of the later generations they're really growing on me 8-[ I think that the 2.5 was the latest WRX STi blah blah .. and I'm sure screamer pipes are not on t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 Turbo vs Impreza Turbo?!

Just out of interest anyone know what sort of figures the latest STi puts out (no not the abortion of a hatchback the one before)?? I had an encounter with a fettled one last week and was a bit dissapointed he pulled a good 2 or 3 car lengths on me pretty quickly coming off a roundabout :( 2.5 lite...

It doesn't, in my eyes.

Just as I see my change from the MR2 to the S2000 an upgrade. I know it'll not keep MR2 owners happy, but it's all down to personal opinion.

Re: My rev 3 turbo vs S2000

The cost is defo a different league. But then the MR2 has 10 years on the S2000. But you could spend £100 on a Calibra and claim it's better bang for buck than the MR2 (you'd be retarded to, but you could). For the price I sold my rev2 Turbo for .. it didn't even cover the superchager, ancillories a...

Re: My rev 3 turbo vs S2000

You need to supercharge or turbo it to get it to make big power. As per Mr Bibbings. What's you're s2k making now Ben? My old rev2 would pull from s2k's on the straight. The higher the speed the easier it got too. My S2000 is only 375bhp .. it's one of the lowest HP, boosted, UK S2000's. But it sti...

Re: My rev 3 turbo vs S2000

I love the s2000 but i just couldnt justify spending that much on it. My mildly modded rev2 tubby whups them! I was in the same boat .. and then my MR2 blew a rad, heater matrix, drive shaft, gearbox and a few other bits, all in about 2 weeks. I bought the Honda, and then bought a supercharger with...

Re: My rev 3 turbo vs S2000

I agree with Lower ;)

A stock S2k will be on a par with a stock rev2 turbo in a straight line. I remember beating a few s2k's in my old tweaked rev2.

The AP1 chassis does talk to you a bit more on the limit though. But that's the issue with the mid engine setup in an SW20.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me please PP bonnet spoiler

Theory would be that the air flows up through the rad/vents, along the duct and then under & over the aerofoil section before exiting over the windscreen. Should do the same thing without looking quite so hideous... Any photoshop artists out there to have a go? You'd want to create a low pressu...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Manifolds : what sorts are there?

I assume that all MR2 manifolds are twin entry?

Are they same across revisions?

Is the manifold off the ST165 GT4 single entry?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me please PP bonnet spoiler

Just the blade for me .. as I wanted the chromed shark fins.

It was just a pain to fine the same weave as the bonnet (wanted it to be the same).

Keep on looking in Japan, I did see one go for about £500 before shipping, tax and duty about 18 months ago (but it looked like a bodged replica).

Already spoken to someone about making a CF version.

And I've not found another in Japan in 3 years of looking.

Bonnet was/is vented. It fit fine.

I've load of pics. But none to hand. Don't want lots of people making coppies now [-X

Seeing as though the car it's on has the same bumper, bonnet, skirts etc .. [-(

Re: I drove a MK1 today

I love the comments about "feel", "handling" etc ..

My Skateboard had the most "feel" of anything I've had on the road. But is it quicker in the twisties than my BMX? .. Nope.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me please PP bonnet spoiler

I got mine (not from Toni) and put it on as I always liked them. I think the MR2 in stock form looks to weedy and needs beefing up a bit. I defo wouldn't put it on with stock lights though, the Rogue ones are great, and I left them up all the time as it looks funny with them down. I had a play up to...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me please PP bonnet spoiler

I'd chased around asking when I put it on. It's like theose crappy bulldogs you see people attach to their bonnets. Old Jags, Rollers had mascots too. It's kinda like pop up lights. No longer easy as a factory fit due to crash regs. But as soon as you buy a car, you can retro fit them. Al long as it...

And if anyone was to ever hit anyone with one of them on the front of the car i would imagine it would be taking a large chunk out of them too! :? Just a thought :-k would it be legal :?: They'd be illegal out the factory. But as soon as it's out the Toyota dealership you can pretty much do what yo...

Re: Woman writing a text while driving!!

They want to apply the same DD limits to this country they have in Europe. Fine, but in Europe you don't get points for being mildly over the limit. You just get a fine and a night in the drink tank. Points are only issued for being massively over. I recon, knowing this government, end up with lower...

Yeah you can but the rev3 turbo on.
Gains are boost till the redline, where the stock CT26 on the rev1/2 runs out of puff.

Why don't you just ask me?
