Re: Standard Dump Valve dumping off boost???
As well as being a recirc valve, the valve will bypass the turbo to an extent when off boost- this helps fuel consumption by making it easier for the engine to draw air in without having to deal with the restriction of the unspinning turbo blades.
ahh, yes
now i understand
cheers guys

Re: Can you de-cat on a standard exhaust?
is gutting the cat an option?
or should this be avoided?
will the MOT be affected on a 1994 rev 3 turbo?
is there any adverse affects of gutting/decating? (eg fuelling etc)
thanks

Re: Can you de-cat on a standard exhaust?
Sorry i should have mentioned its a rev 3 turbo
so its ok to decat on a stock turbo exhaust
just thought i would ask, as i would have thought it would knacker the baffles and make them rattle.
has anyone done this?
whats the benefits of decating?
faster spool up? etc
thanks

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Im after my 1st Rev3 Tubby. Is this any good?
ECU is located in the rear boot, behind the boot carpet on the engine wall. to the left side you will have to take out the plastic rivets/clips on that side of the carpet , just take a small screwdriver and push the centres in alittle and the clips will release and pull the clip out. then pull the c...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] BAFFELED by knocking at front
its really bad knocking/rattling/tapping (what ever you want to call it) over bad roads, but on A roads it is fine yesterday i gave the rear antiroll bar a good tug and it looks like there is alittle play in that and the little knocking noise that produced sounded very similar to the front knocking ...

i have just checked on fensports website and i think they are TRD ones
front and rear are 22.2 mm and are white
http://www.fensport.co.uk/partsfiles/sw20chassis.htm
does this mean that the bushes are more expensive to replace???
