Don't worry too much about having to drill holes, a lot of exhausts come with these pre drilled anyway for bungs and they're hardly noticeable.

Ive yet to see these exhausts without the two stripes on the backbox - looks like oxidation. from the pictures it appears you are winding them in, marks on the piston.

You may have seized calipers if they wont go in any further. very common.

on ebay - type '4.5" exhaust baffle'.

Having had the same problem, albeit on different dampers, i found having the rears on the hardest setting, and fronts at 2/3 hardest really helped.
No more bouncing along the road.
