I have a feeling rev1's had 15" space savers.
16" rev2 onwards.
This 15" does not clear the rev2+ brakes.

Hmmm.
I have a 15" saver, rev 3 car.
Std brakes. But it doesn't fit! Caliper is touching the rim.

Rear Strut brackets
A helpful member has identified these as COVER, REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT, NO.1.
They fit on the rear strut tops to help with the load bearing on the bolts.

Re: Rear Strut brackets?
Hmm. Makes sense, the std cross brace bolts on top of the bracket, so to prevent all that chassis flex going onto one bolt, it is therefore theoretically spread onto the other bolt. most aftermarket braces encompass all 3 bolts, much better design. May as well sell these then - no need for them. And...

Re: My car wont start!
sounds like a classic 'out of fuel' splutter.
Are you sure your fuel gauge is correct and there is fuel in the car?
unlikely cause, but you may as well change your fuel filter while you're at it.

No, put the exhaust the same side as the scoop so the heat goes up it!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil consumption
It's not normal.
You're losing around a litre.
Mine doesn't burn any in the 5k miles it's changed.
You could try thicker oil, you would need the second figure to be greater, but I honestly don't think it will make much difference.
Either keep topping it up or fix. It will only get worse in time.

The leads are fully interchangeable between na/turbo - as long as they're the same size (5mm or 7mm)

Re: Redex injector cleaner..
There are some cars where redex is not recommended. Ford Fiesta TDCI's are prone to problems with their seals with redex use.
Mr2's arent one of them - it should be ok.

redex was good for the old carb'd cars, pouring it in the intake always left a cloud of fog and crap expelled from the car.

Soak them in penetrating fluid 24 hours before attempting to remove the bolts. I think you'll be able to remove them.
The bolts rust but the mounts are usually ok.

245 is too much on a 7.5" rim.
