Cheers all. I've measured the battery voltage. 12.7 that dropped to 12.6 when the engine was running (and didn't budge when I revved it), I've also checked all of the fuses and they're AOK.
I'll go and check the plug voltages next.

Alternator and cooling fan lights on.
So, I've just completed a dizzy refurb, and during the refit I did accidentally swap the plug leads over, got it all done and I'm about to go to work in it and these two lights are staying on. Alternator is turning, no belt slippage, and if you pull the plug on the temp sensor the engine bay fan doe...

Brake bleeding problem.
Having difficulties. Fitting lots of refurbed calipers. Have done 5 brakes AOK over the last fortnight, so I don't think its technique. Two man job, one on peddle one on nipple. No vacuum or auto bleeder. Trying to bleed this last front brake (number 6), and pumping away for ages but getting nothing...

Re: A quick brake question.
Ta. Pads fitted. Might need calipers too, seem to be binding a bit, but pads are free to move, and slides are OK. Thinking the piston may be stiff.

A quick brake question.
Are the brake pads on mk1a's and mk1b's the same? I'm half remembering they're not but its been too long since I swapped them.

Re: Hen's Teeth, Rockinghorse Poo, and Mk1's?
Not seen what's been doing the rounds before, I got this by following a link from 'The Silver Fox' to the Department Of Transport statistics page: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/statistics/datatablespublications/vehicles/licensing/ On there I focussed on the VEH0124 and VEH0125.xls files which give vehic...

Given what you're proposing sounds like it should be good for all of 300 yards.
Paul, how far can you get in a Mk1.5 tubby or V6 off a tank?

They didn't mark the Mk1 down on maintenence because it's mid engined did they? The fact you might have to reach a bit further to get to some bits?

Astonishing :D I'm already saving my pennies for when my 4AGE eventually snuffs it! A 4AGE snuff it!!! NEVER And that's the kicker. I can see myself going for the V6 without hesitation if the current engine blew up, but I can't bring myself to bin a perfectly good engine from an otherwise so...

Re: Induction Kit vs Replacment Panel Filter???
I went for a Ramair panel filter replacement in the boot. All the K&N's I've seen in engine bays are generally covered in crap. And it strikes me that a mucky filter is a partially blocked filter, which defeats the object. The one in the boot generally stays cleaner longer. On our trackday car w...

Re: FORZA 3
It is very easy until you start getting towards the R2 class. Turn all the assists off and practice, as this will make you fast, much faster than with assists on. Using the clutch is worth 0.5s a lap on the faster tracks eg sedona. Having no tcs will make you learn how to not spin the wheels. when ...
