you didnt say front or back?of the mk1
presuming front pop the speaker grill cover off with a screwdriver and unscrew.
rear you need to remove cover panel starting at the door first then moving to the speaker panel, again just unscrew.
for old subs cut power cut feeds and just unscrew.
