Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help

Thanks for the tips. Wiring is now sorted thanks to a decent multimeter. :D Error codes have now cleared as well which is a good sign. Sadly the car is still running really rough. It ticks over, but smells very rich and doesn't idle nicely or rev cleanly. I changed the injectors and turbo before rew...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help

Hi guys, thanks for all the advice. As mentioned, I used a multimeter to look for the earths. Then had a play with the other wires and.....it runs! \:D/ Albeit rather badly. [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help

Hi guys, I bought a rev 3 turbo project (non runner with a number of issues) a while ago to use on the track. One of the issues was that the previous owner cut through the loom, just before the ECU. Rather than change the engine loom, I decided to solder on new connectors to the existing (cut) loom....

Removal of Orange Peel in new paint

I've just had a bottom half respray on my mk2 turbo and I'm desperately disappointed with the results as the rear quarters/doors are full of orange peel. I mentioned it to the painter when I picked it up and he said it was the best he could do. He said he could polish it again but I decided that I'd...

Hi guys, On my rev 2 turbo, once the traction control kicks in, the Traction control light stays on. I've checked the error codes, and it is displaying code 35. I've had a good look on the forum, and this appears to be for the Turbo pressure sensor. However, before I replace this sensor, I'd like to...
