Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help
Thanks for the tips. Wiring is now sorted thanks to a decent multimeter. :D Error codes have now cleared as well which is a good sign. Sadly the car is still running really rough. It ticks over, but smells very rich and doesn't idle nicely or rev cleanly. I changed the injectors and turbo before rew...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help
Hi guys, thanks for all the advice. As mentioned, I used a multimeter to look for the earths. Then had a play with the other wires and.....it runs! \:D/ Albeit rather badly. Firstly it stinks and smells as though it's running really rich. Secondly, it hunts really badly on idle, as though it has an ...

Looking at the pinouts for the non connected wires, I believe the wires correspond to the following: Left connector Top row: E01 (brown) power ground RSO (red) ISC valve HT1 (red/white stripe) Ox sensor heater http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu38/buckerz69/404776b4-5a07-4827-...

[Mk2] [Turbo] ECU wiring help
Hi guys, I bought a rev 3 turbo project (non runner with a number of issues) a while ago to use on the track. One of the issues was that the previous owner cut through the loom, just before the ECU. Rather than change the engine loom, I decided to solder on new connectors to the existing (cut) loom....

Removal of Orange Peel in new paint
I've just had a bottom half respray on my mk2 turbo and I'm desperately disappointed with the results as the rear quarters/doors are full of orange peel. I mentioned it to the painter when I picked it up and he said it was the best he could do. He said he could polish it again but I decided that I'd...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Traction control light and Error code 35
Hi guys, On my rev 2 turbo, once the traction control kicks in, the Traction control light stays on. I've checked the error codes, and it is displaying code 35. I've had a good look on the forum, and this appears to be for the Turbo pressure sensor. However, before I replace this sensor, I'd like to...
