Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Benefits of 5sfe stroking to get 550whp?
Hmm looks like it's a no goer then as I can't afford to pay out for another set of rods or pistons. Thanks for your advice though guys; it was very helpful.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Benefits of 5sfe stroking to get 550whp?
I'm running JE 86.5mm forged pistons mate. Or do they need to be changed to run the 5sfe crank?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Benefits of 5sfe stroking to get 550whp?
Hi guys, I'm aiming for 550whp on c16 race fuel at around 2bar of boost. What I want to know is how much benefit a 5sfe crank would be? As far as I'm aware it would increase the displacement and take the engine closer to a 2.2l. Am I correct in saying that this should decrease the lag from the gt35r...

http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=96469&highlight=spacers Thanks mate but the ones in your link work out at around £290 for full set. Whereas the ones in america work out at £85 for a full set including postage. Thanks for your help guys. I'll get some photos up when they're fitted!

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bought me some et45 17" wheels! Will they fit though?
Either way you'll probably need longer studs
Do you mean I'll need longer studs if I go with hubcentric spacers? As I'm probably going to get these:

Unless anyone know's where I can get them cheaper?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bought me some et45 17" wheels! Will they fit though?
I'm going to fit 240z arch extensions so by the time I've got the arches rolled for that they won't foul. However I need to know how wide the hubcentric spacers need to be to clear my tein coilovers. Will 30mm be wide enough?

No idea as to wether they will fit or not, as all this offset stuff just confuses my tiny little brain Just felt the need to show my respect for your new wheels, 3 spokes are so so cool now yup i agree, 3 spokes look mean on a mr2 Thanks for the praise guys. http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9660/180sxlightconversionzc5.th.jpg Has anyone done a light conversion similar to these on the 200sx? Found them on the 200 forum and they're made by "eastbear". I've seen the majority of the flush fitting lights that you can buy for the mr2 but don't li...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Advice on work to safely run this setup...
Looks like a good choice mate. Did you just buy it? As the same car was on ebay and the ad says that someone has left a deposit on it and it's no longer for sale. As for tuning there are loads of people on here that you can speak to; Rogue, 2bar tuning etc etc. Just use the search function and have ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Braided fuel lines
Where can I buy aftermarket fuel lines? Are the ones sold on ebay up to the job or do they have to be expensive ones like goodridge? I'll be running c16 race fuel for some drag runs so the lines need to be able to cope with this. Also what diameter lines do I need? I'll be running a twin pump set up...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is this a garrett gt35r?
I appreciate your concern but I need the other parts as well. So if it's not the turbo that I want then I'll sell it on and keep the lines etc.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is this a garrett gt35r?
Well we'll see soon as I've just bought it. The guy insisted that it's ball bearing and a gt35r and it comes with all the water lines, oil lines and hoses. Also it comes with a 38mm turbosmart wastegate so at least it crosses off some other items on my wanted list. I'll update the thread when it arr...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Is this a garrett gt35r?
I've been offered this turbo and been told that it's a garrett gt35r dual bb. The problem is I can't see any writing on it that says it's a genuine garrett. Can anyone confirm that's it's an actual garrett item? If not can you tell me what it is? Cheers guys! http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/4766/...

Thanks for the help guys. I'm fairly sure I'm going to go with mica beige now. I like the idea of having a car on the forum that's a very rare colour.
I'm going to be searing the earth for a full abflug kit now.
Abflug kit + mica beige =

[Mk2] [Turbo] T66 Ball bearing
Thinking of buying a T66 ball bearing (turbo technics) that has come my way. Has anyone got any experience with this turbo? It apparently starts spooling at 3.5k and is good for 2bar. How does this turbo compare up to the gt35r for lag and performance? I'd like to be seeing somewhere near 500rwhp Th...
