Re: Smoked rear lights?
Would hsow you if someone could tell me how to insert an image... I usually host images with imageshack and then post the link buddy. Hope this helps. I wasn't aware that the reflectors had to stay fot the MOT. I'm gonna do mine red then I think. That way the reflector can stay untouched. Thanks fo...

Re: Smoked rear lights?
Cheers ducatichick. They look really nice; especially on steelmist grey (the same as mine). I'm thinking something along the same lines as those if I go darker.
If I decide to spray them red then I'll post up some pics for people to see what they think.

Re: Smoked rear lights?
the guy had tinted the amber/white parts red and masked the existing red bits up I had thought about that as well. I've seen it done before, and on the right car it looks awesome! It has to be done well though -not too OTT with the red paint. Have you got any photos of your rear lights mate? I'd lo...

Re: Smoked rear lights?
Only like black tinted lights on black cars tbh
Fair point. But I'm only thinking about a slight tint so it's relatively subtle. Not black or anything really dark. Seems a bit cheaper than a rev 3 upgrade as well!

Smoked rear lights?
What do people think of smoked rear lights for the rev1's and 2's? Check out this auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4621711104&fromMakeTrack=true I think these look really nice! Much better than going completely black or getting (in my opinion horrible) lexus ligh...

Induction kit AFM mounting plate
Anyone know if you can purchase the mounting plate for an induction kit seperately? I mean the bit that bolts to the Air flow meter and then the induction kit bolts to that with a jubilee clip.
Any ideas?
The car is a 93 plate turbo. Cheers Nik

Re: I bought another tubby!!!
There one of only two remaining Moonstone Blue Sierra Cosworths RS500s in the family! =P~ The guy who lives opposite me owns a white RS500 and it is truly immaculate. And is rumoured to be running around 600bhp. Not sure how true that is though. However it is gorgeous!!! Somewhat unreliable though :?

Re: I bought another tubby!!!
No sorry I didn't mean to imply mine was a turbo version  It was just a 1.4, I just wondered if you recognised it. As said, the RS cars are becoming fairly scarce now and finding a nice one is nearly impossible. They're all rusty with either new engines or new speedo clocks. And it seems most ...

In Benfleet. Down kents hill. You posted a little while ago in the spotted section that you'd seen my old turbo being worked on in my garage at Christmas!
Incidentally I think I saw you driving through Tarpots a couple of sundays ago?

Re: I bought another tubby!!!
I know what you mean but I still have a soft spot for the old fords. I'd love a mk1 escort and I adore the mk4's (although I'm fully aware of how unreliable and slow they are!). Seeing as you live near me I wonder if you ever saw my old mk4?: http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/5176/escort5fg.th.jpg ...

I bought another tubby!!!
After selling my 92 plate tubby last wednesday I was considering buying an escort turbo to save some pennies to put towards the overdraft. However, on thursday night a very tasty rev 2 turbo for sale caught my eye. After considering purchasing it for about 3 seconds I decided to blow the cash and am...

Re: Black/dark purple rev2 tubby in Benfleet Essex?
Yep that was me!! Got a rev2 tubby and a rev 4 na. Although when you saw the car in my garage it was probably when I was fitting the downpipe. I've only seen your car once before at Tarpots -it's very nice! :D If you come past my house again stop to have a chat! Do you own the rev2 turbo in question...

Said hello to you a couple of times and my mate hada go with you in a white 200sx (incidentally u p*ssed on him!). I think your car used to be a light purple colour with a silver jap rising sun up the side that looked pretty cool! I've got the steelmist grey tubby down Kents Hill road. Saw you for t...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Oil Leak - Advise?
When I got mine it had a slight leak coming from the driver's side. It turned out that the previous owner had put a normally aspirated oil filter in it instead of a turbo one (the turbo one is about an inch longer)! Changed it and bingo -problem solved! Although I'm guessing that mine was a bit of a...
