Re: ICE novice needs help.

you would probably be best getting a component set. These would replace the speakers behind the door panel and the tweeters would come seperate to the woofer and you could have these replace the originals on the a pillar!

Re: How Much??? Sub boxes. Need interest!

youre probably right mate, one for the for sale section! Just going to have to go through a few things, like getting a table saw then will get a fixed price up later in the for sale section! and sort some time out to knock these up!

Cheers

Re: MRD-Excellent service................im not sure!

Thanks everyone for the "close up" posts. After 3 years telling myself those are the only side skirts that i would ever put on mine. i am now totally convinced that mine will be remaining stock! Savings so far now going towards the long awaited respray!

Re: Stereo quiet?????

Most aftermarket stereos have a line that comes from the back for muting the sound, think it will be labelled as "att", this as well as the attention button you get on the front to mute the sound down. On sonys i think you just have to earth it for it to take effect (handsfree car kits mak...

Re: ICE required

This one jsut rests in the hole created by removing the std cubby hole box, it does not need support in my eyes as it is a tight fit! The straight back is not a problem in the mk2 as it only curves at the top, though i would say that if you are going to go for curves i would make a fibreglasss back,...

Re: components?

I think i have 6" in my doors and they fit straight in, search for threads on car stereo installation, think they are in the knowledge base. Mr2s are different to most cars as in they dont have a cage, but two plates that screw into the side of the stereo, this method will still work with after...

Re: components?

Get a descent set of front comps and completely ditch the rears. I had Focal PolyKevlar K2 Powers in mine. Simply awesome!! Disagree sorry! If you are going to put subs in the sound will be seperated, all vocals at front and bass behind you, i had it like this drove me mad! front components would d...

mine was an import and someone had put some ugly side repeaters in so the wiring was already done but if you do surely just extend the loom with cable available from almost anywhere!

I designed this one to allow you to, remove the cubby box behind the seat and it drops straight in, solid, pm me your email if you want plans on how to build! Or can build you some too collect if you want to make me an offer! ...
