Re: AOL users having trouble registering?
I look after a similar CGI/Perl forum at http://www.rockstar.org.uk <snip> Anyway, I modified my registration text to display an IMPORTANT message prompting registrants to check their junk mail folders for the confirmation email. Maybe worth doing this here too! Dave, thanks for that- a usefull tip...

Chemsford Curry in the new year
OK Folks,
Christmas is rapidly looming - but looking ahead to the new year, who would be up for a curry one weekday evening in Chelmsford?
(edit - added poll options for the dates ...)

Re: Recent Trackday at Donington Park
On the subject of brakes, can anyone recommend a decent rear brake pad? For some reason my blueprint rear pads seem to have glazed slightly and one of them has a chunk of material missing - thought the braking went off slightly after the last 20 laps :) Neil, try some Pagid Fast Road pads from Fens...

Re: Mk1 In Car footage from Donington
I've looked at some of your footage... seems like it was quite good in the afternoon... Yeah, it had dried out a little - but it still quite slippery. ... a couple of tips though - you can run much wider on the esses at the end of the lap, and most of the corners looked like you were turning in qui...

Re: Seperate Sections
That's fair enough I can see your point. What about something like the old board where you could flag your post as Mk1 /Mk2/General ? makes finding things a lot easierand saves having to trawl through loads of MK2 posts to find something MK1 related and vice versa. Mmm, I see what you mean. We migh...

Re: Mk1 In Car footage from Donington
What type of camera did you use? Camera : RF Concepts in Belfast - http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/cameras.htm I got the 21CWSHR which is a high res sony CCD with a couple of different lenses. For the Donnington footage I think I used the standard lens for that which is quite wide angle (as you can see...

The SC does make a devastating road car though, quick and lots of torque. There is I guess also the added gooning potential of having that extra torque. ;) mmmm Goonage potential is important to me ;) In the wet though with A539s there was more than enough power to allow some gooning in the Mk1, I ...

After an inspection of my distrubter cap a few weeks ago I was horrified! The contacts were almost completely worn away and had loads of corosion. Heh heh - this is exactly the reason why I make the copper contact dizzy caps. I scraped the contacts clean with a screwdriver and it made a huge differ...

I definately agree with keeping the main pages add free, I do think it still needs some sort of affiliates page with a basic list of services supplied paul Yep agreed on the Affilliates - we're in the process of contacting them all. Excellent footage ben! I have a sudden urge to rig up a camera for the next track day :) The clips have been compressed quite heavily to end up a reasonable size - the originals are very good. You don't see the stones bouncing everywhere that you do in the original of the last clip. Funnily enough,...
