Re: Is there going to be a MR2 team this year?

bit cheaper girdle, but read description as it needs a few parts. Still seems good value though.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] water injection
hi. ive got the AEM one. Seems good. Cools down the intake quite a bit, and helps to prevent knock. Worth doing if ur having knock issues and wanna run higher boost. As regards the AEM kit, i cant fault it. Not sure about others.

yeah come on. Do another project. is it the engine from this car you've still got sat there, or did that die in 'the incident'?

Re: 500+BHP Project
well my new ko manifold worked a treat apparently. james told me it made 500hp easily. Sadly due to the heat though, with the chargecooler pipes going over the top of the manifold and turbo, the intake temps are getting too high. So now im having 3s make me a rear facing intake manifold with an 80mm...

Re: 500+BHP Project
Well the ko manifold came. Looked very nice. Much better porting to the last one, and larger tubes. All in all very nice. Sent it off to Zircotec to get it coated in their performance ceramic coating. And now its down with 3S getting all bolted together. So will fill you in on news soon.

Re: 500+BHP Project
Not sure how bad the cracks were or where they were. and it wasnt supported. But still. A couple of weeks of short drives and a couple of rolling roads shouldnt have done it. As the rest of my build seems good for over 500hp, the stock manifold, was deemed the weak point. especially now ive got the ...

Re: 500+BHP Project
Update: Had manifold fitted and it had many probs. All pipework needed refabricating around about. Chargecooler needed moving out of thw way as the manifold had moved the turbo and wastegate. Then had warped flanges. Then once all was done and fitted, it wouldnt flow well. In meantime my Gt3076r was...

Re: 500+BHP Project
Yeah i fitted the exhaust the other day. A right pain to get my old departure off, but a doddle to fit the new Berk. The backbox flange is actually accesible, whereas the departure flange sat right above the rear crossmember. All seems good. Sounds very similar to my departure, but without the crack...

Re: 500+BHP Project
Finally got a manifold. Looks similar to the Full Race, but was from Nozzs.com. Looks nice and solid. All inside ports have been cleaned up well for flow, but could possibly still be improved further. Will chat to James about it when i next go down. With my new Berk exhaust, i'm hoping for a bit mor...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Departure 2 Repair
Hi. My Departure II exhaust is seriously knackered now. Cracks all round the Y split, and blowing flexi. Just wondering if anyone else has tried repairing them- ie- removing the whole mid section( backboxes to downpipe), and replacing with stainless steel to replace the rubbish rotting mild steel. W...
