Re: Mr2 turbo caliper rebuild kit
I bought a kit off of eBay (possibly BiggRed) and rebuilt some Rev2+ calipers for my Rev1 N/A. Not particularly hard to do (my first brake rebuild) and looked mint after cleaning up and respraying silver. Transformed the braking of my car too. I wouldn't want to tackle the rears though and luckily ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Engine Vibration Help!
It's always difficult to diagnose noises by video. A longer video and moving the mic around the bay may help. For noise and vibration you can use a piece of house or a long screwdriver to find the source. To me the rattle as the revs drop sound like exhaust shield. But.... The engine also sounds bot...

Re: Wheels studs
Front and rear are the same in my experience. I did find that the replacement I bought from my local parts shop needed the splines tickling with a file before fitting as they were 0.4 mm to big but the spline pattern was correct. If you on mr2oc search there for wheel stud and my posts and you may f...

Re: Desperate help with misfire
As a short term fix you might get away with drying the coil out then sealing the cracks with rtv. This will give you time to source new one. You still need to clean up the bracket tho. When I last swapped my coil I had to drill off the heads of the screws. They were replaced with M4 by 15mm machine ...

Yes I'm planning on using 3M but can't decide whether to go for the full width of the strip or just the central two thirds down the length of you see what I mean.

Just checked 91 bgb and this states 188 ft-lb, 255 Nm
Realistically an 18" breaker bar done up pretty tight will suffice. I have changed out my shocks a couple of times and reused these bolts and just done them up tight! No probs

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Changing air filter help
Usually the fins side of air filters sit inside the box on all cars I've done. I don't have standard mr2 air filter to look at but....... The air flow should go into the box, through the fins, out of the filter on the flat side and into the intake to throttle body tube, so you should be able the wor...

Trim tape for door rub strips
I need to re tape my door strips.
Do I need tape close to the full width of the strip and what thickness do I need?
The car is a rev 1 import so this may have an impact on the width as UK and import strips differ apparently!
Thanks
Jan

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rear suspension bush kits
I bought a complete front and back from SBITS for around that price above but that was maybe 4 years ago. If you want to contact Pete @ sbits he may not reply too quick as I seem to remember he goes to lemans and that is this weekend I think. Last time I checked (a couple years ago now) he was more...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] ignition problem and no spark?
By ripped out do you mean you have pulled the sounder and/office from box out by either unplugging or cutting the wires? If that's the case you will leave the car disabled. Get u red the dash driver's side with all the trim out of the way. Follow all the ignition wires back from the barrel and at so...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] HELP.... No power to starter motor
I assume you have checked the battery terminals! And you have power in the battery! So if all fuses are ok what lights come on on the dash with key on but not twisted to start? Does the car have an old alarm/immobilizer? Some immobilizers work on the starter and the fuel pump. It is also not unheard...

Re: Clutch bleeding tips.
Good post. But when you say actuate the slave by pushing against the fork, do you mean push the rod back inside the slave or push the fork away allowing the rod to extend? I last did mine with a gunson pressure bleeder. Pressure at the reservoir, bleed through. Then with the nipple open push the rod...
