Re: damn calipers...

Last week i bought a rear caliper rebuild kit from biggred.co.uk for £36 inc p&p for the axle set ie both sides. I think the front ones are a little cheaper. Not used the kit yet. The guy on the phone immediately asked whether it was the early smaller disk or the larger disk size so he knows his...

As the engine is on a stand i put in a couple of the flywheel bolts and then a lever in them that wedged on the stand. Then a 4 foot bar ov...

Bigg Red Ltd Brake bits and rebuild kits

Can't praise these guys enough Firstly they knew straight off the bat about the differences in sizes with build date and the correct size bleed screw. They have great prices on the rebuild kits and their prices are per axle ie both sides Finally when i told the nice chap on the phone about the chari...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Gearbox work. Possible?

Hi mate, Once the box is off its fairly easy to take the casing off and then strip. Also, I have a N/A casing available along with some other bits from a knackered box. :thumleft: Thank you Lewis Jay. For fun i'm gonna take the casing appart to see. I say for fun as i posted a wanted ad burnt out s...

[Mk2] [NA] Gearbox work. Possible?

Hi guys I have not worked on a gearbox before so don't laugh if this seems like a silly question. How easy is it to remove the bell housing end of the casing as mine has a hole to the inards courtesy off an exploding clutch (prior to my ownership). Before i took the box out it would select all gears...
