fitting lowering springs - parts to replace at same time?
I'm planning to fit some tein lowering springs to my 2003 mr2 (80k) next weekend, are there any parts that its worth replacing at the same time just to refresh the suspension?

mk3 mods - Adrian Flux insurance
I'm currently insured with Adrian Flux and am considering getting the tein lowering springs for my mk3. I seem to remember Adrian Flux quoted £35 to alter any policy and I would guess the premium would go up too. Is anyone else insured with Adrian Flux and can comment on the cost of declaring mods t...

Re: Trackday - Best beginners track?
First track day I did was Castle Combe, quite simple to learn and flat but relatively high speed and not huge run offs.
Bedford Autodrome GT is also excellent for beginners, flat with loads of run off but plenty of corners to learn and very good tuition available.

MK3 O2 sensor the same as MK2 O2 Sensor???
Since buying my mr2 the engine warning lights been on, I had the code read and the problem was the O2 Sensor (bank 1, sensor 2) after the cat. Toyota quoted me £260 to replace it so after reading a few threads on the subject I decided to buy a decent brand (denso) one from the US. Looking on twos r ...

Re: Best value manifold: Che?
Yep from Toyosports, but it was being sold by auction so wasn't sure if there was something wrong with it, probably me just worrying for no reason. Has your one been fitted ok?

Re: Best value manifold: Che?
My manifold arrived from Toyosports shop on ebay, seems good for the money but slightly concerned that the 4 pipe entrances don't appear in line, the middle 2 are lower, and the pipe entrance on the far left and the far right don't look to me to be at the same height. Is this the same on other peopl...

Re: Best value manifold: Che?
I was planning on leaving the heavy old heat shield off as I would imagine it would need modifying to fit. Is it a good idea to use heat wrap on the new manifold considering how hot the engine bay gets normally?

Ok thanks I'll do that. Is it quite easy to fit? (it took me 18 hours to change the springs on my old mk2 )

What are the gaskets like that come with it, should I use them or get ones from Toyota?

Re: Best value manifold: Che?
Interesting you say that mate, as the racing MR2 Roadsters are now all using the copy manifold off ebay, and I am told are reporting a definite increase in power. I just bought one too, so look forward to doing a before and after comparison! How much did you pay for yours? They seem to be about £14...

Best value manifold: Che?
Having owned my mr2 for a few months I have decided to get a performance manifold as I don't want the pre-cats breaking up and I'm after a few more bhp. Since Im on a bit of a budget is the CHE manifold the best value for money? I'm not sure I want to risk a 'no name' one on ebay.
