Re: So is a UK conversion to turbo car one to avoid?? or OK if done right?
Nothing wrong with it at all buddy :thumleft: A lot of the UK cars converted to a turbo will be due to the import turbo car that the engine and running gear originally started life in, becoming a rust bucket or worse... It got smashed. My car is a 1998 UK Rev5 running Japanese Rev3+ Turbo running ge...

£300 ? What a bargain! It sounds like you have some great plans for it ahead. I really look forward to seeing the car and seeing it progress as you work through your plans :) As for the celica interior.. I know the seats will do with modified rails :thumleft: Another member not far from me h...

Yeah mate
My thought process was:
"Fck it, go big or go home"
However, that may be a really bad thought process lol

Hope you and the car are good mate? Be good to see it next year and hopefully see Simon's out next year as well? Any updates on the car, George? :thumleft: Hi Rich, yeah we are both fine. The car is in bits again lol! Not really sure what's happening with it if I'm honest. Owen Developments were p1...

Re: Geo's Rev 5 Turbo
Spoke to Jeff lads, spot on dude! Really nice guy indeed... Thanks for the recommendation. He is going to make me a fuel rail to suit my needs. That's one less thing to worry about. I am currently trying to work out which turbo I'm going for as I have slightly changed my mind. He is sure he can make...

Re: Geo's Rev 5 Turbo
Update: The full turbo kit and some fuelling components are going to be removed in a few weeks to go to their new home. I've decided on my next turbo but struggling to find a manifold that will definitely suit it and my needs. I also need to find somewhere that will make a fuel rail for me to the sp...

Re: clutch slipping at Drag Strip, dec 2015 query? new clutch time! OS Giken!!!
There is absolutely no way it should be bogging at 5k on a hard launch on that turbo buddy. As said above.. I'd throw that clutch away as it's looking like the problem
Hopefully not too costly an exercise

Re: clutch slipping at Drag Strip, dec 2015 query? new clutch time! OS Giken!!!
Jim, take it to 5k and drop the clutch mate and see what it does buddy... I think the issue lies with the launch being honest mate. I totally understand where you are coming from but I don't think the clutch will be able to cope. I had it myself with my first mr2. If 5k is too much then work down fr...

Re: Trackday noise limits
Got to agree with the guys and what you are going for ash, 95-98 area will see you ok. I know the guy who makes the exhausts for SVM to run on their GTRs and that's what he was specced to make. Don't do what I did and turn up at Totb where the absolute max is 106 at 3/4 rev range. Then bargain for t...
