Air con

You'd be better sealing up the ports on the compressor or the seals will dry out and knackered compressor.

Power Steering Light

Turns out I did a diagnostic on the PAS ecu and I had an error code 31: brushes worn out on the pump, so managed to source a newer pump from my never ending saviour "AFFY" from Just Mr2 Breakers. Thank god his prices are good....! :D

T Bar leaks

Hi all, My T bar has similar probs and I have a brand new seal on it!! It looks like the problem is that the window is not sitting properly in the door, and looking along the weather strip, the glass runs in towards the seal at the front and out at the B pillar, hence loads of road noise at B pillar...

Battery drain

Hi all, I'll tell you exactly what you have, I had the exact same problem, believe it or not the dome fuse still controls some of the audio equipment, the drain is coming from the old amp(s?) that lie behind the plastic covering in the rear wing, where the rear speaker sits, there are 2 multi plugs ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Rusting MK2 Sills, common problem.....?

Hi all, with all mk2's approaching a fair old age now, and with the British climate being what it is, It seems that a common problem is rusting sills?? There were 2 at my mechanics garage getting fixed,a 95 and a 93, and I had a close look at the sills. From the wheel arch onwards and they were star...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] MOT Failure!!

The sill was rotten at the wheel arch and rotten all the way to the door section, so that was why I'm getting most of it cut out. Pointless when I was getting charged £50 for a patch up as opposed to £100 for most of it getting replaced and I kinda thought it was gonna need replaced next few months ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] MOT Failure!!

Managed to get a car local restorer who will custom make a sill, he's replacing it from half way along the door to the rear arch so....just have to wait and see, however he's charging £100 for doing it, so not the most expensive job to get done!

thanks for replies people.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] live wire for unit

Hi there, what kind of unit are we talking about firstly?? stereo?? if so you will need a permanent live feed and another live feed, you could always take a permanent live feed from the battery direct and a feed from the cig lighter so that the unit only works when the ignition is on??? That's how m...
