Original vs. copy bodykits
Hi all, Been looking at bodykits recently, and I may well not bother - I sadly like the lines of the MR2  Anyway, seems to me as if there are LOADS of copies out there, but what exactly is likely to be the difference between an original and a copy ? Is it much ? Personally, if an original i...

Bastid downpipe !
Hi all, Well, finally got a day to myself to do lots of jobs on the tubby, including fitting the 3" extremeboost downpipe I got from Tim at xxxx a few weeks ago. Soaked everything in sight in WD40 last week, and again last night. All was going well, every bolt at the top loosened no probs - the...

Re: A RR day for us southerners ?!? ***Prices on Page 3***
Okay, I've heard back from Austec. Minimum of 5 cars, maximum of 15. Price is £30-£60, so I would imagine 5 cars is £60 each, 10 cars is £45 each and 15 cars is £30 each. I certainly wouldn't want to spend more than £30, so we would need to get 15 of us, but I don't see a problem. They could do Dece...

Right, just waiting for email back from Austec.
If we have spaces left over, does anyone mind or see a problem with inviting a few over from www.mkivsupra.net ? I've now sold my Supra, but still post on the forum, be good to see a few Supra runs
Be in touch

The Morris wrote:Somebody suggested putting 2 smaller nozzles, one near the throttle body and one near the intercooler, to get best of both worlds, just put a t pipe in to split it.
I've yet to fit my WI so I could incorporate this if it's the best way to go...interesting

Re: water injection
Yup, pretty much agree with Tim =D> Reducing the charge temps of the MR2 is a serious problem, the stock location for the IC is RUBBISH, so even with a good aftermarket IC and spal fan, you're gonna need something else if you're heavily modified. Chargecooling is an option, but an expensive one. Per...

I'll call Austec back and see what their diary is like, and what their charges are like.
I'll be back.......

Hi all,
I've got my Aquamist 1S coming shortly and I'll be installing this myself, but I'd really appreciate any install pics. Be good to see what others have used as a water\meths container, and pump location etc.
Cheers
Matt

Hi all, Just gauging interest on a RR day for us southern types. Thor is 130miles away from me etc so I thought I'd see if there is anywhere a little nearer to just run some basic power runs. I live in Horsham, West Sussex but there is a TVR tuner called Austec in Crawley (near Gatwick), their websi...

Re: Insuring a car with a roll cage - who?
In which case, I'm with AON and I think it's their classic roadster policy. Mods declared include a roll cage, although it's actually a Pheonix Power chassis strengthening kit for the T-bar.
Might be worth giving them a call, they've been pretty good for me.
