Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
Still got the CT26!
Have to wait for the cheque to clear before the CT20 gets sent out.
You may find when you get the power run done after mapping it comes out a bit crap. I found this to be cause the engine was so hot after 50 miles of mapping!

Re: Fitting Clear Corners To Tubby
Yeah I have those instructions. Thats the easy bit. On that they have put the OE wiring back in.
But as I say the orange bulb wont fit. Take it that being twin element it makes it useless too.
Any one know what bulbs I should buy then?

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
It's worth while for subtle mods.
If your in the market for ecu upgrades though why not look at BadBoyTurbo's Power FC + controller for £450
£300 mapped at Thor and you've only spent a bit more than the Dastek and got limitless control.

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
I've got a Dastek. AFAIK it can control alot more aspects than the eManage but I could be wrong.
I went from 235bhp with a crap clutch to 276bhp (same rollers)
Also took torque from 246 lbs to 280 lbs

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
Mine came over from Japan with it and the sticker on the engine cover has Hyper Muffler.
I think it was replaced with the Hiper. Prob same although I think mines a mild steel system with stainless rear can. (Saw one online for just shy of £600 though)

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
Well I currently have an HKS Hyper Muffler (3" bore) an induction kit I'v never heard of, mbc and uni-chip.
Add to that the turbo and d/p and then the intercooler and I think I'll be where I want to be

I'll order one from Rogue soon then!
How do you guys rate the Greddy compared to the Spearco - I've heard that it's not as good.
BLOODUK - I'm buying Steve Cordiners used CT20b for £240 including delivery. Doing it the old fashioned way though, cheque in the post stylee lol. Takes for ever.

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
Blooduk - as title - CT20b going on asap.
(Well as soon as it's delivered and some one undertakes the job)
Any ones used w/i instead of intercooler upgrades?
I hate us tubby owners get hiddeiously overcharged for decent intercoolers.

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
Considering the rev3 was designed with higher lift cams to match the higher boosting ct20 it might not be a bad idea in the long run.
£250+ EACH though plus fitting and plus pullies and more mapping though....

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
Mine is currently a bit of a torque monster. Comes on about 3.5k and peaks at 280 lbs. You can REALLY feel it pushing you along. From what I've seen cars making this much torque are usually well above 300bhp. Think it may be in the mapping but each time I've had it r/r'd it's always made a few more ...

Re: IMOC Vs OC Regarding CT20's On Rev2's
I wouldnt have thought slapping a new fuel pump on would make a blind bit of difference if you dont uprate the rail, injectors and regulator? I have a dastek so once it's fitted I'll have it mapped. Hopefully they'll be able to tell me what is the best safe limit I can run. I'd have thought 16-17 ps...

What kinda boost is safe to run both for the internals of the car and turbo?
I know rev3's can go to 18 psi, what about the 2's?
