Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
I'd say yours was an isolated incedent. Prob some one mapping it didnt no the knock sensor had gone throwing the car into safe mode, dumping excess amounts of fuel in. My knock sensor did go shortly after having it fitted but I know exactly why that happened and it was nothing to do with Millway doi...

In other words it leaks.

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
Thats quite an interesting read about the base timing too.
In lamens terms, once I've fitted the CT20, downpipe and re-mapped the unichip how would adjusting the timing benefit me?

Is it not possible to get larger diameter disks but keep the OE calipers?
The only option for filling the gap left by my 18's is to buy stupidly expensive brakes I dont really want.

Re: How good is TD06?
Turbo dynamics hybrit CT turbo's are very expensive IMO. Not much less than a different bolt on unit that'll be better. As for a hybrid CT20b - it'll have uprated internals, steel compressor wheel, shaft and 360 degree bearings. If it's coming in at a fair price it'll be good upgrade IMO. I'm waitin...

Re: How good is TD06?
I'd look at new pump, new regulator, new rail and new injectors. Doing that you'd need something to controll it all - piggyback or standalone. The OE system is designed to run together, just slapping on bigger injectors wont make much difference. You'll still be pumping the same amount of fuel TO th...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] dastek unichip v greddy
I think the boost module is mainly reccomended for the rev1/2's as rev3+ have map sensors any way.
I'm certainly very happy with my Dastek and would reccomened it to any one.

Re: How good is TD06?
I'd be looking to uprate the full fuel system if you wanna see the best out of a highly specc'd turbo.
Especially on a rev2.
Could end up totally maxing out your current fueling capabilities.

Re: Safe 1.1bar
ECU is in the boot against the bulk head on the left. 1 bar is fine, above 15 psi the inlet temps get up a little, but to be honest the CT26 doesnt hold it there long enough to matter any way. Mine spikes at about 1.1, evens off at 1bar then after 5.5k tails off back to 10psi. You'll have to have an...

Different places charge different amounts.
I chose Millway cause they were a fair bit cheaper than other places and have experience at mapping 2's

Re: Fitting Clear Corners To Tubby
£2 from the local spares shop.
Drilling the holes out was a bit of a b1tch and couldnt get the notch's very well done. But the holders "secure" enough.
Look the nucking futs on there.
Need to replace the toblerones now though.
