Re: g valve

If I were you I would definately determine what is causing the constant low boost mode before fitting the grainger valve. Check to see what error codes you are getting from the ECU. Where are you getting your timing belt fitted and what price? Got mine done for £120 last year at a garage up at Stanl...

Re: Revision6/RMG Developments Type G Sideskirts fitted! (Pics)

You are right about the rubbing with the MRD skirts. I am one of the mugs that paid £600 for them. Admittedly, I love the MRD looks but the fitting is a big let down. Looks like Rogue has come up trumps with this kit. That is a very neat fit. Is the skirt fixed to the sill along the bottom edge of t...

Re: Revision6/RMG Developments Type G Sideskirts fitted! (Pics)

They do look like a very good finish? Do these side skirts fit over the top of the door sills similar to the MRD kit and if so is there any rubbing when opening and closing the door?

Re: Fitting Coilovers. DIY?

Fitted Leda coilovers myself and it took me a week! Thats because I had to wait for the drop links from Mr T. What a mug at £150 for the two front ones. Definately get the adjustables of twosrus if you need them. Needless to say, could have done it in a day easily replacing the brake lines with Good...

Re: Wheel spacers

I have had to go with 12mm spacers all round. Getting a set of hub centric's made at present. This is due to the Leda coilovers in combination with 7J 45mm offset front and 8J 45mm offset rear rims causing rubbing on the struts. Well, the fronts were anyway so moved the rears out also. What do those...

This is normal. The turbo does not hit full boost in 1st and 2nd.

Re: which uprated intercooler?

Yes, lets not, there are pleanty of threads going on the CC v IC. I have to admit I would prefer the Phoenix, however, at £600 new for the Greddy it does make it one of the cheapest. Dino (MR2Mania) does rate the Spearco as the best due to the fitted fan as part of the kit, but that is US$1100. Is i...

Chargecoolers - whats happening?

Dino, got any more news on the data logging of your ST205 based unit kit and ideas of production dates and prices. Patrick (Rogue) what is happening with your Rogue/Pace unit? I had been reading previous threads and was wondering what the outcome was regarding the alleged limitations of the core thr...

Re: INSURANCE WOES... everyone please read and if you can help

buy the turbo engine to drop in and a TRD wide body 2000 GT kit (£1300) for a replica, then it qualifies as a kit car and brings it into lower insurance brackets

Good point. I had assumed that they were both running around max psi (18-19psi) on std internals.

(NB to me - dont make assumptions)

Re: What Intake Temps are people getting

That is very interesting. I have been following the chargecooler threads with Dino's inputs regarding comparisons between CC's and IC's. To quote Dino on another thread that can be found on this list regarding his CC setup he is getting "22-24C most time" and "up to 30C after thrashin...

Re: Aftermarket boost gauge fitted into standard dash position

Ive got the Omori 45mm in my tubby. Looks perfect, dont know why Toyota didn't fit something similar in the first place. There is a bit of work involved, but I was a mechanical novice when I did it. I think it was Paul Port that was giving me email guidance in the end. The support on this and IMOC i...

Re: Which boost gauge to get?

Another option is the replacement of the std boost guage with an alternative of same size. I did this using the Omori mechanical boost guage but this involves more fitting than mounting on the dash or on pillar including some cutting of clock housing. At the same time I replaced the clock dials with...

hub centric wheel spacers

I am ditching the 12mm (2x6mm) universal wheel spacers on my rev3 tubby for some hub-centric ones. So far the only ones I can find on the web are H&R ones but they dont do them in the widths I am looking for which is 10mm. They do 5,15, 20 and 25mm. 1) Any other hub centric spacer manufacturers?...

Re: Mr2 Offset ?

I had 17 inch wheels, 7 inch width and 45mm offset covered in 215/40 rubber on the front with standard Bilsteins and it was very close to the strut but it did NOT touch. Rears had pleanty of clearance with 235/40 rubber over 8x17inch rims on 45mm offset. If you are putting rims on that are 1/2 inch ...
