Finally back together again! :D
This is the first car I have modified so its not amazing but its been great to do all the work myself and learn so much along the way.Well I've spent 6 months slowly sorting bits and pieces out with a head gasket change to a rev3 one. Car was standard apart from alloys and blitz dump valve when purc...

Re: Importance of undertrays?
They see all the bad weather on the underneath so prone to doing this. The majority of mine snapped off, either drill out the broken screws/bolts Or just tie wrap the trays to the chassis. I have done a combination of this after getting fed up of metal shavings while laying under the car. They are t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Why won't my rad fans switch on?
I was judging the temp on the stock dash guage at the point where they used to come on. The guage was showing the needle getting up too half way but not rising above this point (is the stock guage that bad?) So best thing to do will be take it for a run all connected up and then see if they come on?...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Why won't my rad fans switch on?
My last problem to fix before getting it mot'd next week and back on the road after 7 months off being pampered. I can't get the rad fans on when it comes up to temp, changed the rad sensor (aircon model with air con rad and compressor removed) still didn't work with another sensor but all worked fi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rad fans permanently on
I thought the fans come on when the circut is broken??
Hence why when you disconnect the rad sensor the fans pop on full, and the sensor should break the circut once it reaches a certain temp.
I tested mine on a multimeter yesterday and the hotter it was the more resistence it showed.

Well I was just stating the possibilitly for the leak Shane had mentioned around the rocker cover when the throttle was closed. I didn't see the boost leak mentioned. Also why I started my post with "I may be well of here"
Hope you've reclaimed your power Shane

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Air leak down test! result (air coming from rocker cover)
Er I may be well off here but if your rocker cover is leaking wouldn't this suggest that the rocker cover gasket is bu**ered? Or the rocker cover itself has a crack? If its the dizzy/rotor arm end then check everything is sealed up there correctly. The gaskets usually benefit from a dab of sealent o...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] anyone fitted a jperformance intercooler kit?
Haven't looked at them tbh, lost faith in the company after supplying such ill fitting components. I ended up having a custom twin exit system made with 2.5 pipes and 4 slash cut tail pipes, sounds nice with a medium note. At idle it purrs nicely but when you apply some beans it starts to get atte...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] anyone fitted a jperformance intercooler kit?
I don't see anyone giving them a good name on this thread? Infact I was so disgusted with the fitment of the piping I demanded my money be returned straight away as it does not meet the description of (fits mr2 sw20). The intercooler is however okish, it also performs better than my stock intercoole...

Re: Help please, rev2 turbo no eml and won't start
No problem Peter, I understand to make a diagnosis of the problem all avenues have to be covered.
Paul sorry I must of misunderstood completely, electrics are not a strong point of mine.
Checked these pins No13 and 26, the brown ones and both are showing continuity.
