Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What anti roll bar drop links should I get?
I've also just ordered a set of rear whiteline droplinks (To fit the front coilovers). Not sure i like the look of them that much, but we'll see what they're like when they turn up.

Sanchi, yes would be interested to hear how you get on. Think i'm going to have to get the same ones- there dont seem to be many adjustable ones out there to choose from.

Re: Timing using PFC
I think you would check/set it in the same way as with a standard ecu, the only issue is as you say getting static rpms. So timing gun, down the side of the cam cover to see the marks on the crank pully, then turn the dizzy till you're at the correct setting (Is it 10degs btdc?) edit; my bad, looks ...

Camskill sell the whiteline adjustable ones, not sure how good they are but i'm in the same boat- need shorter front links for my coilovers...

Re: Suspension Bushes
Yeah not sure- the BGB doesnt list a P/N for the bushes, so i can only conclude they sell them mounted on the arms already.
Sbits shows either complete car kits, or complete car -arbs for their prothane bushes.
Can you perhaps get the powerflex ones individually through demontweeks perhaps?

Re: Replacement front disks & pads
OE items are fine for discs tbh, drilled and slotted are available from some places but they're more prone to cracking so best to stay with plain discs. Pads wise, at the moment i'm using mintex pads and they have been very good. Camskill are a good supplier for brakes and other parts. Fitting is ea...

Somewhere to fit my R888s in Coventry area
Want to get a set of R888's, camskill has a good price on a set (Around £200 cheaper than the tyre fitting garages are quoting) so i need somewhere to fit them for me. Does anyone have any recomendations for tyre fitters in the coventry area, obviously they will need to be happy to fit customer supp...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ignition
I forked out for OEM leads last time for 2 reasons; 1 the magnecore leads dont latch onto the dizzy like the OEM ones, they just push on and 2 the OEM leads come with the plastic cover part that keeps the leads tidy on the cam cover (I didnt have one for the previous lead set) They are expensive fro...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3bar map sensor flat lines at 1.2bar
Just a guess but sounds more like the thing reading the sensor is having a problem. When he says 'throws errors' what exactly? Is the ecu or whatever configured to read the sensor correctly?
Unless you've got a 1 bar map sensor by mistake?

[Mk2] [Generic] Steering rack ends, help needed from someone with parts off the car
I've got hold of some new inner steering rack ends from another manufacturer and i'm hoping to make them fit onto my power steering rack (Mk2 turbo) to replace the tired ones on there. I need a favour from someone with either a steering rack or the inner and outter rod ends on the bench. I need to k...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Maximum rubber... something a lilttle different xD
Looks great! Always good to see people trying different things in the handling department! I'm considering some toyo R888's at the moment and pondering sizes. Can you comment on the R888's coming up wider than the tyre size suggests? Considering a 205/40/17 on my 8" fronts, and a 245/40/17 on t...

Autoexpress seem to do this a lot.. just make stuff up i mean, they did it recently with Jag.. "Jag to make mid engined supercar!" was the headline. Even had convincing pictures, but as far as i can tell it was just a fabrication.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Squeeky clutch pedal in the cold!
There are bushes for the pedal available from toyota, i got some ages ago but have yet to fit them. I figured this was the cause of the pedal squeek from inside the cabin.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] TRD Topmounts advice
IMO its worth changing the rears, even though there are no moving parts- mcphearson struts rely on the topmounts to locate the suspension- any slop in the rubber of old topmounts translates into movement in the suspension.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gear selection problem; slave cylinder?
Well it doesnt look like its hydraulics :( Got a friend to press the clutch pedal today while i look at the release fork on the gearbox. Its definately moving- so i'm assuming the master and slave cylinders are ok. Next thing is; where should i take it to get the clutch sorted? Theres 3S i've used b...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gear selection problem; slave cylinder?

Booked it in with GTSChris for a Clutch change and its working again :) Oh if you still need to drive it around for a short time you can adjust...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gear selection problem; slave cylinder?
Thanks for the responses guys. Selector fork came to mind- but if i can get it into all gears fine with the engine off i suppose it cant be that?
I'll probably get a slave cylinder on order from MRT. I have heard that the master cylinder can go bad and cause problems like i'm seeing.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Gear selection problem; slave cylinder?
Had a problem today.. went for a gear change and nothing- couldnt get it into gear at all. Pulled over and checked a few things; - plenty fluid in the master cylinder - no fluid dripping down - Gear shift cables still attached - with the engine off i can engage/disengage all 5 gears like normal I wa...
