Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Question for those who've fitted Fidanza flywheel (or other LWFW)
Thanks; but surely if its designed for both crank fitments its gonna slop-around? Couldnt this lead to it not being bolted up centered and hence vibration?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Question for those who've fitted Fidanza flywheel (or other LWFW)
I've noticed on the Fidanza flywheel i bought second hand that the 8 bolt holes that hold it to the engine are not round but ovalised. I thought perhaps it was damaged, but seeing a picture of a new fidanza on a site somewhere- its exactly the same as the one i have. So my question is, if they're ov...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting a decat pipe.
HaHa, its not what i would call an
'easy' job exactly.
Its not very accessable(Stuffed down the front of the engine against the firewall, the bolts will be rusted solid and it weighs a ton! ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Do a little bit of reading before hand to decide if you want to attempt it.

Re: [All] [Generic] Caliper Slider pins
I'm pretty sure you need brake caliper grease.
Its very heavy lube, and it wont break down under heat.
It comes in the rebuild kit from toyota- but i guess they dont sell it separatly.

Motor factors or halfords should stock it i think?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Are TRD hubs/studs smaller than the stock revisions?????
Is it possible that the wheels have 2 sets of holes to make them multi fitment and you've not used the correct ones?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Theres not really any explanation other than the wheels are not for the mr2.
All mr2s
(Well mk2s anyway) have the same PCD.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

[Mk2] [Turbo] Helix cerametalic paddle clutch, whats it gonna be like?
I have a helix stage2 cerametalic 4-puk clutch to go on my motor. I've not driven a puk clutch, or a cerametalic clutch before and i'm wondering what it'll be like? I've heard it'll be more on-off and as its cerametalic it'll wear faster if slipped. Does this mean stuff like parking, getting in my (...

I dont think the HKS is that bad really, you do need to change the element regularly tho.

Andy, where did you get the alloy alternator bracket, or was it custom made? This must save a ton of weight!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Berk Exhaust Pics Please
I really love my Berk exhaust, its easier to live with than the Apexi GT (Which i also loved, but was too loud day-to-day) Having said that, you really have to keep it clean.. despite being 'stainless' it rusts/corrodes quite quickly, especially on the tips and in this weather, and it takes a lot of...

How are you pressing the bearing in? Sounds to me like they've not installed correctly.

Either the spring has been damaged or the damper has blown.
Try jacking the corner up and seeing if there is any oil leakage.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Clear indicator + orange bulb
As others have said, there are 2 styles of bulb- standard and offset where the locking pins are offset, 1 nearer the base, and one nearer the actual glass bulb. Silvertec bulbs are the best, they look silver, but flash orange and last a long time- not cheap tho, ~£15 for 2 8-[ You need the offset type

You will notice the difference on the road with uprated strut braces, the TRD ones especially are VERY stiff!
