[Mk2] [Turbo] Gearbox oil for a TRD diff

Going to be fitting a new (50kmile) transmission with a TRD differential soon.. and i'm wondering what gearbox oil i should use. Now i know that Redline MT90 is a popular choice: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-1020-redline-synthetic-manual-transmission-90-mt90-75w-90-gl4.aspx Looking at the spec MT90 i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Painting calipers

Yeah i painted mine red, think it looks great. You're not saying you've got better brakes than anyone else, it just tidys up an otherwise scabby area of the car.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Stunning replica

On the one hand i can understand WHY they're charging 16.5k as theres a hell of a lot of work in that conversion.. but at the end of the day, whats the point? Its not gonna drive any better, sure you could pose in it- but as soon as you start the thing up- busted!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Arc super induction box filter?

£37 from Edworthys.co.uk You'll need to search for SKU 134993. Should be here. They reckon 2-4 days. K&N, Green, ITG etc were all around £50-55 and as these filters are all comparable it was decided on price. My K&N arrived from YB Filters. I was gonna go for the pipercross too based on pri...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] one to discuss - sw20 based lambo murcielago replica

Thing is its not even 10k- look at the prices page and add everything up.. £15500! I bet fitting and spraying would be at least another 6-8k on top. At the end of it you'll have a massivly expensive, massivly slow car! Must add a ton of weight all that tubing and panels.

Looks like you also have an oil filter relocation kit (Red, over the turbo)

The other problem with toyos is they're very sticky- which is good for grip but means they wear out fast.

A copy of the 1990 TRD catalogue perhaps?

Sounds interesting for the re1/2 guys, i guess with a wideband you could tune for afr with it?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] What is THIS bit made of? HELP ME!!!

I'm sorry but there is no way you can have a tank of water and electrolosise out enough hydrogen on the fly to drive your car.. it would simply take too much energy! You'd flatten the battery, and end up with enough hydrogen to go all of about 50yards. Look at it this way- if it was so simple it wou...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3sgte Engine Builders

1. The pistons that you buy will come with machining information that will tell you exactly how to bore/hone the block.

3. I'd say 450bhp + tight budget dont go together too well :-k

Best of luck with the build :D

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] What is THIS bit made of? HELP ME!!!

I understand how you could use hydrogen to power your car.. but water? You need to get the hydrogen out of the water.. i.e. electrolysis. Are you proposing to do this on board the car or simply making it before hand??
