Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Maximum power on stock internals?

looking at the log though, there is moments of WOT, but for very short periods of time, and never exceeds 5k. 1.3 Bar is not alot for a 30 series turbo either. Not a true representative of everyday use. I think on a fully warmed engine, with full boost and WOT application to the redline, the charge ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Maximum power on stock internals?

As Ash said, this could be a good debate if everyone stopped bitching a little. I used WI on my car until I went to a bootmount where it was not needed. I used a Aquamist system for years. Good bit of kit. T.F.S, what are the inlet temps after prolonged use? Where is the temp taken from? And with wh...

Re: Mark 2 Milage

Realistically, alot of the imports have incorrect mileages..., and as said, these are old cars now. Most will have 100k plus.

High mileage is not a bad thing, if a car is low mileage and kept outside, they are normally truly awful underneath. [-(

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)

Sad pics bud... Looking at the rear quarter though, unless you cut one off another car or replace it, it's will never look right again. Way too far in. Plus, that is alot of suspension damage. Might look superficial, odd arm here and there, but still very bad. I know the Mule is your baby, but...

It's for boost control. Should become apparent once you get the wastegate and solenoid plumbed in. :thumleft:

Re: [FINALIZED] FOR SALE! 2000 V Rev5 Turbo Deposit taken. SOLD To Stuart.

Just thinking... I put 205/50/16 tyres on the front, these are brand new! I was going to put 245/45/16 on the rear, but at the min she has 225/40/16s on the back. Both T bar bags are in the car. :thumleft: I also have a turbo engine cover for the car, but never fitted it. It needs painting as it's s...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz ECU Performace Differance???

The gains from these over priced ecu's is little to none. I have had them on many cars and swapped them out with stock ones. No difference at all. I had a Blitz ecu on a Rev 3 turbo, swapped it with JJ at york raceway. Did a run and did the exact same time... Load of expense for no gain. Years ago w...

FOR SALE! 2000 V Rev5 Turbo Deposit taken. SOLD To Stuart.

Hi all, Due to wanting to buy another ramp ect for my garage, I am thinking of selling my converted Rev 5 turbo  It's a 2000 V plate UK Rev 5. Converted using a 60k miles rear clip. Running standard boost. You will not find a cleaner MK2. The car is near mint. I have spent an awful lot of time ...

Re: Intercoolers

The ones we used were 6" core with 4" pipework though. A little different to your plans. This size IC on a 3071 would never work.

I would not go into the boot for a 3071.

Re: Intercoolers

To reduce lag, Yes. Smaller bore pipes, thinner IC will reduce lag and speed up flow. But higher charge temps.

Re: Intercoolers

Use a side mount and water injection for that. Boot mount will make it laggy, and overkill for your goals. :thumleft:
